SIOUX FALLS — Sioux Falls Jefferson’s Macy Bryant was named the 2026 Gatorade South Dakota softball player of the year on Friday.

Bryant, a 5-foot-5 senior shortstop, has powered Jefferson to a 22-0 record, and an appearance in the Class AA state championship game for the second-consecutive year.

Bryant batted .831 during the regular season with 18 doubles, eight triples and seven home runs, totaling a team-high 37 RBIs.

The two-time all-state selection has an .849 on-base percentage with 14 stolen bases as well.

Bryant will play college softball at South Dakota State University next season.
