Sioux Falls Washington 8, Harrisburg 4

SIOUX FALLS — Sioux Falls Washington scored four runs in the seventh inning to pull away from Harrisburg in the Class AA state semifinals on Friday. The Warriors will face Sioux Falls Jefferson at 4 p.m. on Saturday in the state championship.

Josie Biteler and Berklee Hall each had two RBIs on one hit in the win, including a two-run homer by Hall, Kjerstin Kyte added two hits and an RBI, Natalie Thompson drove in two runs while Kate Childress added an RBI in the win.

Maddy Mescher earned the win on the mound in seven complete innings, allowing four runs on 10 hits and a walk, striking out four.

For Harrisburg, Reese Moody allowed eight runs on six hits and four walks in 6.1 innings, striking out five.

Kennedy Kokenge led the Tigers with three hits, including a solo homer while Peyton LaFramboise and Stella Disbrow each had two hits and an RBI in the loss.


Sioux Falls Jefferson 4, Sioux Falls Roosevelt 0

SIOUX FALLS — Makenzie Bierman and Madison Kracht threw a combined one-hitter to shutout Sioux Falls Roosevelt in the Class AA state semifinals. The Cavaliers will play Sioux Falls Washington in the state championship at 4 p.m. on Saturday.

Bierman tossed five shutout innings allowing just one hit and one walk in the win, striking out three.

Macy Bryant led the Cavs with two RBIs on one hit, Ayleah Johnson had two hits while B Herrera added an RBI on one hit in the win.

For Roosevelt, Desiree Hinsch suffered the loss, allowing four runs on six hits and one walk, striking out 10.

Trista Anderson had the lone hit of the game for the Rough Riders.


Brandon Valley 10, Sioux Falls Lincoln 3

SIOUX FALLS — Brandon Valley scored the first six runs of the game to run past Sioux Falls Lincoln in state consolation semifinal action on Friday. The Lynx will play O’Gorman at 12 p.m. Saturday in the consolation championship.

Briley Laber and Kennedy Fitts each had three hits and an RBI, Ava Groeneveld and Ganiyah Daniel each had two hits and an RBI, including a solo homer by Groeneveld, Alexa Harms and Aniston Murray each had two RBIs on a hit while Karlee Small tallied an RBI on one hit in the win.

Jacey Meyers allowed three runs on 15 hits and a walk in seven innings, striking out three.

For Lincoln, Brooklyn Brown allowed six runs on five hits and two walks in 2.2 innings.

Hayden Kok, Paige Stensass and Anna Bergan each had two hits, Jersey Williams and Kathryn Mathison each drove in a run on one hit, including a solo homer by Williams while Kennedi Fairbrother totaled four hits and an RBI in the loss.


Rapid City Stevens 9, O’Gorman 3

SIOUX FALLS — Audrinna Colhoff tossed six strong innings as Rapid City Stevens defeated O’Gorman in the Class AA consolation semifinals on Friday. The Raiders will play Brandon Valley at 12 p.m. in the consolation championship on Saturday.

Colhoff allowed just two runs on five hits and four walks in six strong innings, striking out two in the win.

Norah Tideman and Hazel Russell each had two hits and an RBI, Izabella Phelps added two RBIs on two hits, Macy Muth had two hits, Kara Cox tallied three hits while Joslyn Thompson added an RBI on one hit in the win.

For OG, Laila Noonan took the loss in 0.2 innings, allowing six runs on five hits, striking out two.

Sonia Deckert had an RBI on two hits, two walks, and a solo homer while Kinsley Sheridan drove in a run in the loss.
