All-Nations Football Conference Recap - McLaughlin outlasts White River, improves to 3-0

WHITE RIVER — McLaughlin edged White River in All-Nations Football Conference action on Sept. 11. 

The Mustangs (3-0) built an 18-0 lead after the first quarter, but the Tigers (2-1) got within 24-22 with 1:13 left in the game. However, the Mustangs stopped the Tigers short on a potential game-tying two-point conversion. 

McLaughlin’s John Eagle Jr scored two touchdowns runs and intercepted a pass on defense. Jacoby Carry Moccasin added a rushing touchdown. 

For White River, Cooper Baxter scored two rushing touchdowns and Kreg Stoddard added a rushing touchdown. 


Omaha Nation improves to 3-0 after shutting out Flandreau Indian

OMAHA, Neb. — Omaha Nation upped its record to 3-0 with a 54-0 win over Flandreau Indian in All-Nations Football Conference action on Sept. 11. 

Omaha Nation’s Cebastian Cline-Brownrigg rushed for 67 yards and two touchdowns. Red Grinnell also scored two touchdowns. Omaha Nation rushed for 245 yards. The Chiefs also posted three sacks, with Javan Webster posting two of them. 


Todd County pulls past Mahpiya Luta, moves to 3-0 

PINE RIDGE — Bane Yellow Eagle powered Todd County to a 48-30 All-Nations Football Conference win on Sept. 11. 

Yellow Eagle rushed for 238 yards and scored five touchdowns, including a 77-yard touchdown run. Defensively, Carver Rahn intercepted two passes and the Todd County defense posted three sacks. 

For Mahpiya Luta, Jesse Carlow completed 19-of-27 passes for 254 yards and two passing touchdowns. Julian Tonche rushed for 291 yards and three touchdowns, while adding 100 yards receiving. Memphis Brewer hauled in 90 yards receiving and a touchdown. Christian Jack posted 42 yards receiving and a touchdown reception. Tonche and Tima Romero posted 8.5 tackles apiece. 


Winnebago blanks Lower Brule, stays undefeated 

LOWER BRULE — Winnebago, Nebraska, blanked Lower Brule, 44-0, in All-Nations Football Conference action on Sept. 11. 

Winnebago’s Adarius Flemister rushed for 133 yards and three touchdowns on nine carries. Raiden DeCora rushed for 80 yards and two rushing touchdowns.
