Arlington's Chloe Raw captures four first-place finishes at Arlington Last Chance meet

ARLINGTON — Arlington’s Chloe Raw was responsible for four first-place finishes at Friday’s Arlington Last Chance track and field meet. 

Raw won the 100-meter dash (:12.11), 200-meter dash (:25.27) and long jump (17-1.5). Raw also ran the anchor leg on the first-place 400-meter relay (:51.56), joined by Halley Miller, Gracelyn Miller and Jaelyn Huntimer.

Arlington’s Kaelyn Ulschmid won the 3,200-meter run (12:37.86).

Clark/Willow Lake’s Kamryn Nesheim captured the 800-meter run (2:25.78). Emma Bochek, Jennifer Bevers, Nesheim and Cadence Bochek won the 1,600-meter relay (4:15.07). CWL’s Zoe Nichols captured the high jump (4-10). 

Scotland/Menno’s Ellyana Ulmer won the 1,600-meter run (5:28.28). 

Elkton-Lake Benton’s Ivy Jaacks captured the 100-meter hurdles (:16.68) and finished second in the 300-meter hurdles (:49.41).

ELB’s Sydney DeVries won the 300-meter hurdles (:48.73).

Wolsey-Wessington’s Kendal Uttecht, Abby Huntsinger, Danika Peterson and Riyli Peterson won the 800-meter relay (1:51.29). The same quartet won the sprint medley relay (4:21.02). 

WW’s Samara Clemente won the triple jump (33-7.75) and finished second in the high jump (4-10). 

Deubrook Area’s Makenna Ekern, Emma Mitchell, Neely Gustad and Kylee Johnson won the 3,200-meter relay (10:18.96). Deubrook Area’s Zoey Molengraaf won the javelin (101-8). 

Iroquois/Lake Preston’s Hadlee Holt won the shot put (36-0) and discus (125-8). 

Deuel’s Hannah Cutshaw won the pole vault (10-0), followed by teammates Makia Moe (9-6) and Kandi Berndt (9-0). 

Chester’s Emmerson Eppard won the 400-meter dash (1:01.44). 

In boys action, De Smet’s Ganon Henrich (:11.38) edged teammate Rogan Albrecht (:11.66) in the 100-meter dash. Henrich (:23.48) also nipped Albrecht (:24.03) in the 200-meter dash.

De Smet’s Owen Anderson won the 400-meter dash (:53.64). 

Scotland/Menno’s Mirik Vaith claimed the 800-meter run (2:13.12). 

Scotland/Menno’s Izayah Ulmer won the 1,600-meter run (4:40.12). Ulmer anchored the winning sprint medley relay (3:45.48), with Jaxon Stoebner, Riley Keppen and Bryce Sattler also running. 

Arlington’s Lance Kaufman won the 3,200-meter run (11:00.53). Arlington’s Jake Burns won the pole vault (11-6). 

Chester Area’s Zachery Moyer won the 110-meter hurdles (:17.68). 

Wolsey-Wessington’s Lucas Bureau captured the 300-meter hurdles (:43.35). Wolsey-Wessington’s Colin Hughes captured the discus (133-2) and placed third in the javelin (118-0). 

Iroquois/Lake Preston’s Aiden Query, Ervin Carter, Peyton Hope and Brycen Blue won the 400-meter relay (:49.53). 

Tri-State’s Coy Laurence, Austin Jonason, Raul Chavez and Owen Wood won the 800-meter relay (1:35.91). 

Clark/Willow Lake’s Talen Huber, Chris Bevers, Damian Severson and Emmerson Larson won the 1,600-meter relay (3:37.93). Larson also won the long jump (18-8.25). CWL’s Michael Severson won the shot put (47-10.5). CWL’s Jakob Steen won the javelin with a toss of 142-1. 

Sisseton’s Brett Hansen, Jackson Wegener, Bradley Hanson and Ryder Graff won the 3,200-meter relay (8:39.24).  

Estelline/Hendricks’ Larkin Schultz won the high jump (5-10). Deubrook Area’s Ty Landmark won the triple jump (35-11.5). 

The Arlington boys and Clark/Willow Lake girls captured the team titles. The Arlington boys tallied 97 points, followed by De Smet (92) and Clark/Willow Lake (80). The Clark/Willow Lake girls totaled 103 points, edging Arlington (99), De Smet (99) and Deubrook Area (99).
