RAPID CITY --- A semifinal match (165) on Friday at the Class A state tournament had the tiny town of Gregory buzzing. 

Sioux Falls Jefferson senior Ayden Dooley (44-7) defeated Brandon Valley junior Levi Veskrna 14-2 in the semifinals of the 165 bracket. 

The Class A match featured two athleters whose parents all graduated from Gregory high school. 

Dooley's parents are Jamie Dooley and Heide (Hail) Dooley. Veskrna's parents are Aaron Veskrna and Hilary (Haines) Veskrna. Jamie Dooley and Aaron Veskrna both wrestled for Gregory while in high school. 

Jamie Dooley is an assistant coach for Sioux Falls Jefferson and said his son reaching the finals of the 165 weight class is something they have been working on since Ayden was a little boy. 

Ayden Dooley said he has been to Gregory a number of times, most recently during pheasant season. 

Veskrna finished fourth on Saturday, falling to Tea Area's Dawson Eimers in his final match. 

Dooley met Sturgis senior Joseph Nadig in the 165 finals Saturday afternoon.
