Without top-ranked 285-pound wrestler Navarro Schunke the first few weeks of the season, Brandon Valley appeared to be just about even with several Class A contenders. Pierre, Sturgis and Watertown each took a week as Class A’s top-ranked wrestling team. 

Since Schunke, a junior and already a three-time state champion, came back in late December the Lynx have looked nearly untouchable.

Brandon Valley continues to have a healthy lead in the polls, racking up 194 points in this week's poll, ahead of Sturgis (159) and Pierre (149). Watertown (141) and Harrisburg (107) rounded out this week’s top-five. 

The only new No.1 ranked wrestler is Tea Area’s Maddix Slykhuis, who is the top-ranked wrestler in the 126-pound weight class.
