Chester's Lily Van Hal, Jacy Wolf headline Class B all-state volleyball first-team

Chester’s Lily Van Hal and Jacy Wolf headline this year’s Class B all-state volleyball first-team. 

The duo recently led the Flyers to their second consecutive Class B state volleyball championship in Sioux Falls. 

A junior setter/rightside hitter, Van Hal tallied 357 kills, 668 assists, 100 aces, 30 blocks, and 308 digs during the season. 

A sophomore outside hitter/setter, Wolf 341 kills, 34 aces, 292 assists and 368 digs this season. 

Warner’s Kyleigh Schopp, Burke’s Kailee Frank, Hitchcock-Tulare’s Katelyn Schroeder, Northwestern’s Ashley Haven and Gayville-Volin’s Taylor Hoxeng were also first-team selections.

A senior middle hitter, Schopp finished with 477 kills, 30 aces, 82 blocks and 93 digs this season. 

A senior outside/middle hitter, Frank recorded 375 kills, 42 aces and 337 digs this season. 

A senior outside hitter, Schroeder posted 485 kills, 394 digs and 46 aces this season. 

A junior middle hitter, Haven recorded 453 kills this season. 

A junior libero, Hoxeng tallied 606 digs and 63 aces this season.
