Hill City 55, Cheyenne-Eagle Butte 38

STURGIS — Hill City made school history on Tuesday, qualifying for its first-ever state boys basketball tournament over Cheyenne-Eagle Butte. 


West Central 91, Hanson 47

MADISON — Five players reached double figures as Class A No. 4 West Central punched its ticket to the Class A state tournament Tuesday.

Connor Mebius led the Trojans with 22 points and four assists, Will Kuhl added 17 points and six rebounds, Kolte Garry added 13 points and three rebounds while Carter Tetzlaff and Hayden Heier each had 11 points in the win.

Hanson’s Ben Wilber tallied a team-high 19 points and three rebounds, Tye Hernandez had 17 points, while Sutton DeWald recorded six points in the loss.


Rapid City Christian 69, Dell Rapids 54

MURDO — Benson Kieffer’s 33-points powered Class A No. 3 Rapid City Christian to the State A boys basketball tournament Tuesday.

Kieffer netted 33 points in the win, Simon Kieffer added 17 points, Julius Frog recorded 10 points while Aiden Roberts had six points in the win.

Dell Rapids’ Tad Tjaden and Jack Kloth each had 15 points in the effort, while Karson Paye tallied eight points as well.


Groton Area 51, Winner 38

HURON — A balanced scoring attack helped Groton Area punch its ticket to the State A boys basketball tournament Tuesday.

Becker Bosma led the Tigers with 15 points, seven rebounds and three assists, Karson Zak recorded 13 points, four assists and three rebounds, while Ryder Johnson and Keegen Tracy each netted nine points in the win. Gage Sippel tallied five points, 10 rebounds, three steals and three blocks as well.

Winner’s Carter Craven tallied a game-high 17 points and seven rebounds in the win while Shawn Hammerbeck added 13 points, seven rebounds and two blocks in the loss.
