Class A Boys Basketball Roundup - Rapid City Christian holds off Lennox for third place

Rapid City Christian 60, Lennox 58

SIOUX FALLS — Rapid City Christian pulled away late from Lennox to take third place at the Class A state tournament Saturday.

Benson Kieffer led the Comets with 18 points, four rebounds and three assists, Simon Kieffer netted 17 points and five rebounds, Julius Frog recorded 13 points and three rebounds while Aiden Roberts added five points, three rebounds and three assists in the win.

Lennox’s Tate Gerdes scored a game-high 24 points, nine rebounds and three assists. Teegan Musser added nine points and four rebounds, Boston Katzer added eight points and seven rebounds, while Aiden Hanssen had eight points and four rebounds in the loss.


Groton Area 64, Clark-Willow Lake 52

SIOUX FALLS — Four players reach double figures as Groton Area took seventh place at the Class A state boys basketball tournament Saturday.

Karson Zak led the Tigers with 18 points, Keegan Tracy totaled 13 points and five rebounds, Becker Bosma added 11 points, eight rebounds and four assists, Ryder Johnson collected 10 points, five assists and four rebounds, while Easton Weber had five points off the bench in the win.

CWL’s Bo Begeman tallied 13 points and eight rebounds, Chris Bevers added 13 points, Sully Felberg recorded 11 points, five rebounds and two assists, while Emmerson Larson recorded six points, six rebounds and three assists in the loss.


West Central 69, Hill City 54

SIOUX FALLS — Connor Mebius’ 23 points helped West Central claim the consolation championship during Saturday’s Class A state tournament action.

Mebius finished with 23 points, five rebounds and three assists, Will Kuhl added 14 points and 10 rebounds, Carter Gross netted seven points, Kolte Garry totaled six points, eight rebounds and five assists, while Luke Knight recorded six points, six rebounds and three assists in the win.

HC’s Devin Buehler led the Rangers with 18 points and four steals, Everett Sullivan recorded 10 points and two steals, Zane Messick had 10 points and six rebounds, while Alex Stoeckmann netted six points and two assists in the loss.
