Huron 49, Spearfish 35

RAPID CITY — The Huron defense held Spearish to just 23% shooting as the Tigers took down the Spartans during Friday’s consolation semifinals. The Tigers will face Sioux Falls Jefferson in the consolation championship Saturday at 1:45 p.m., MT.

Blake Ellwein led the Tigers with 16 points and four rebounds, Davis Chase tallied 12 points and 14 rebounds, Anderson Porisch collected 11 points and seven rebounds, while Jonathan Peterson totaled five points and four rebounds in the win.

Spearfish’s Dylon Doren had 13 points and six rebounds, while Kamren Davis added 13 points and three boards as well. The Spartans take on Sioux Falls O’Gorman for seventh place Saturday at noon, MT.


Sioux Falls Jefferson 68, Sioux Falls O’Gorman 65

RAPID CITY — Three players scored in double figures as Sioux Falls Jefferson clipped O’Gorman in Friday’s consolation semifinal action. The Cavaliers will take on Huron in the Class AA consolation championship.

Kauai Mayen led the Cavs with 16 points, shooting 4-for-4 from 3-point range. Mason Payne tallied 14 points, nine rebounds and five assists, Colby Nuttbrock had 10 points and four rebounds, Jase Unzen tallied nine points, four rebounds and three assists, while Damaris Fields scored eight points, four assists and three rebounds in the win.

O’Gorman’s Nyun Dut tallied 19 points, Caleb Terveen collected 17 points, Austin Terveen had 11 points while Mason Clark netted nine points and three assists in the loss. The Knights will face Spearfish Saturday at noon, MT, in the seventh place game.


Mitchell 55, Sioux Falls Lincoln 51

RAPID CITY — Markus Talley’s 22-point game lifted Mitchell to the Class AA state title game Friday. The Kernels will take on Brandon Valley at 7:45 p.m., MT, in the state championship.

Talley led all scorers with 22 points, four rebounds and two assists, Colton Smith netted 11 points, 11 rebounds and six assists, Gavin Hinker added 14 points and six rebounds while Parker Mandel totaled eight points and four boards in the win.

Lincoln’s Brody Schafer led the Patriots with 18 points, five rebounds and four assists, Sam DeGroot added 14 points and three rebounds, Sam Ericsson totaled 10 points and four rebounds, while Edison Noll collected six points and three rebounds in the loss. The Patriots will play Harrisburg for third place Saturday at 6 p.m., MT.


Brandon Valley 46, Harrisburg 31

RAPID CITY — Landon Dulaney’s double-double powered Brandon Valley past Harrisburg, advancing to the Class AA state championship. BV will face Mitchell Saturday at 7:45 p.m., MT, for the State AA championship.

Dulaney finished with 14 points, 10 rebounds and five assists, Mach Mayen added 10 points, Aiden Zerr and Austin Dowd each scored six points while Brayden Knutson collected five points in the win.

Harrisburg’s Stellen Larson led the Tigers with 18 points and eight rebounds while Aiden Costain tallied five points and five rebounds in the loss. Harrisburg will face Lincoln Saturday at 6 p.m., MT, for third place.
