Spearfish 61, Sioux Falls Jefferson 54

RAPID CITY — Mya Kochuten’s 26 points powered No. 5 Spearfish to a Class AA consolation semifinal win over No. 9 Sioux Falls Jefferson Friday. The Spartans will face Mitchell in the consolation championship Saturday at 1:45 p.m, MT.

Kochuten finished with 26 points and six rebounds, Jozie Dana tallied 13 points, five rebounds and four assists, while Avery Kirk and Kate Scharf each tallied nine points, combining for 11 rebounds in the win.

Jefferson’s Abby Horner totaled 24 points on 11-of-14 shooting, adding three rebounds and two assists. Brinley Altenburg scored eight points and five rebounds, Macy Bryant tallied seven points and eight rebounds, while Taylor Silvernail added six points and six rebounds in the loss. The Cavaliers will play Pierre in the seventh place game at 12 p.m., MT, Saturday.


Mitchell 48, Pierre 38

RAPID CITY — Addie Siemsen and Londyn Hajek combined for 31 points in No. 6 Mitchell’s State AA consolation semifinal win over Pierre Friday. The Kernels will face No. 5 Spearfish in the consolation championship Saturday at 1:45 p.m., MT.

Siemsen led Mitchell with 17 points and three rebounds, Hajek added 14 points and nine rebounds, Carsyn Weich tallied seven points, eight rebounds and six assists, while CeCe Morgan collected six points and four rebounds in the win.

Pierre’s Emery Larson tallied 12 points, Gracelyn Taylor added 11 points, Lennix DuPris collected eight points, five rebounds and four assists, while Addison Soma netted five points and six rebounds in the loss. The Governors will take on Sioux Falls Jefferson for seventh place Saturday at 12 p.m., MT.


Sioux Falls O’Gorman 58, Rapid City Stevens 31

RAPID CITY — Julia Eggert’s 21-point game lifted No. 1 Sioux Falls O’Gorman to the Class AA state championship game. The Knights will face Brandon Valley Saturday at 7:45 p.m., MT, in the state championship.

Eggert led the Knights with 21 points and seven rebounds, Sydney Terveen collected 14 points, six rebounds and three assists, Ruby Moore added 13 points and three rebounds while Sadie Mehrman tallied five points in the win.

Stevens’ Taaliyah Porter led the Raiders with 14 points and eight rebounds, Haley Falcon added six points while Brittany Jones totaled five points in the loss. The Raiders will face Sioux Falls Washington in the third place game Saturday at 6 p.m., MT.

Brandon Valley 72, Sioux Falls Washington 56

RAPID CITY — Alyvia Padgett’s 30-point game powered No. 2 Brandon Valley past No. 3 Sioux Falls Washington in the Class AA state semifinals Friday. The Lynx will face Sioux Falls O’Gorman in the state championship Saturday at 7:45 p.m., MT.

Padgett netted 30 points, seven assists and four rebounds in the win. Evie Hoff added 12 points, Salter tallied 11 points, seven rebounds and three assists, while Amanda Lease cracked seven points in the win.

Washington’s Grace Peterson and Rylan Kennett each tallied 16 points, combining for 12 rebounds, while Dana Harpe added 11 points and eight rebounds in the loss. The Warriors will face Rapid City Stevens for third place Saturday at 6 p.m., MT.
