Colman Egan’s Daniela Lee has been on a tear in the Class B sprints this spring. She’s got company in the 100-meter dash as Howard freshman Melanie Calmus has the top time in Class B (:12.24). 

One of the surprise performances in Class B this week was Colman-Egan mid-distance specialist Reece Luze dropping down to the 200-meter dash. Luze has the top 800-meter run time of (2:25.94). She’s got some speed as evidenced by the No. 3 time in the Class B 200-meter dash (:26.12). Luze also has the top time in the 400-meter dash (1:01.83). 

Lyman’s Skyler Volmer broke the Lyman record in the high-jump (5-05) at a meet in Onida last week. She also has the top Class B long jump (16-10.75). 

In the throwing events Estelline-Hendricks junior Danielle Hawley took over the top spot in the Class B shot put (38-08.75). Menno senior Raygen Diede has the top mark in the discus (130-09). Kadoka senior Lanie Blair is No. 2 in the discus (123-03) and just broke the Kadoka school record in that event on April 22.
