Gregory 60, Avon 56 (OT) 

GREGORY — Gregory outlasted Avon in an overtime boys basketball game on Thursday. 

Gregory’s Lincoln Juracek finished with 20 points and Colt Keiser added 17 points. Jacob Klein scored 12 points. 

For Avon, Zander Fathke scored 19 points and Al’Shamon Gunter had 12 points. 


Ipswich 52, Herreid/Selby Area 51

IPWICH — Ipswich outlasted Herreid/Selby Area for a Thursday boys basketball win.

Ipswich’s Hayden Schlosser finished with 19 points, eight rebounds, three steals and three 3-pointers. Shay Knust added 15 points. Josh Rausch scored six points and grabbed seven boards. Jaxon Holt added five points. 

For HSA, Jared Weisbeck finished with 11 points and Adonnais Mills scored 10 points. Noah Schuetzle scored eight points. Xavier Ritter had seven points and six boards. Tatum Quaschnick recorded six points and six assists. Kaden Russell scored five points. 


Wall 58, Hill City 47

WALL — Teelan Kjerstad powered Class B No. 5 Wall to a boys basketball win on Thursday. 

Kjerstad finished with a game-high 27 points. Emmet Dinger scored 12 points. Dawson Handcock and Trevor Schulz had five points apiece. 

Hill City’s Zane Messick scored 14 points and Karson Kolb had nine points. Isaiah Brewer and Nick Schroeder scored six points. Brensen Veneklasen and Mason Buehler scored five points apiece.


Platte-Geddes 59, Hanson 48

PLATTE — Isaac Leader paced Platte-Geddes to a boys basketball win on Thursday.

Leader finished with 25 points and nine boards. Jye Bailey added 10 points, nine rebounds, four steals and three assists. Ziggy Duffy, Maddux VanZee and Jameson Leader scored six points apiece. Landen Wright added 10 rebounds and three assists. 

For Hanson, Nate Wilber scored 14 points and Pierce Kayser had 10 points. Rhett Marek scored nine points. 


Castlewood 54, Iroquois/Lake Preston 33

LAKE PRESTON — Three players scored in double figures to power Class B No. 3 Castlewood to a boys basketball win on Thursday.

Castlewood’s Will Aderhold finished with 13 points and 10 boards. Leonard Wernke had 10 points and 10 boards. Kamden Keszler scored 10 points. Tyson Manley added seven points, while Brody Bass and Trevor Everson scored six points apiece.

For ILP, Lucas Peskey finished with 12 points. Brycen Blue had 10 points and Rexton Blue scored five points.


Elkton-Lake Benton 62, Oldham-Ramona/Rutland 46

LAKE BENTON — A balanced scoring attack paced Elkton-Lake Benton over Oldham-Ramona/Rutland in boys basketball action Thursday.

Myles Poindexter led the Elks with 12 points, Ethan Wiskur added 11 points, Colt Beck and Joseph Nibbe each had nine points, Eliot Erickson recorded seven points while Lane Schindler totaled six points in the win.

For ORR, Brodie Albertson had 17 points, Mason Dommer and Riley Trygstad each had eight points while Boyd Pooler had seven points in the loss.


Leola/Frederick Area 64, Faulkton Area 45

LEOLA — Four players scored in double figures to power Leola/Frederick Area to a boys basketball win on Thursday.

LFA’s Milo Sumption had 14 points and Winston Clark had 12 points. Erik Losure scored 11 points and Brayden Heuer added 10 points. Westyn Thorpe scored six points.

For Faulkton Area, Korbin Stark had 15 points and Weston Senn totaled 11 points. Landon Dikoff added seven points and Spencer Melius scored six points. 


Hamlin 63, Sisseton 21

SISSETON — Three players scored in double figures to power Class A No. 4 Hamlin to a boys basketball win on Thursday.

Jackson Wadsworth finished with 18 points and Boden Stevenson added 15 points. Trig Henrich scored 10 points and Aiden Abraham scored eight points. Jack Stormo added six points.

For Sisseton, Derrick Flute had five points. 


Madison 48, Pipestone Area (Minn.) 39

MADISON — Henry Veenhof and Shane Veenhof powered Madison to a boys basketball win on Thursday.

Henry Veenhof finished with 19 points and three rebounds. Shane Veenhof added 11 points, four steals and three rebounds. Myles Schneider added nine points and six rebounds.
