Philip, fresh off its Class B boys cross-country state championship in fall 2025, projects to be a strong contender in track and field this spring.

The Scotties won their fourth consecutive Class B cross-country championship in Oct. 2025, the first Class B boys team to accomplish the feat.

Powered by a deep group of long-distance runners, the Scotties are poised to be in the Class B boys track and field team hunt this season. The Scotties bring back a number of top performers from last season’s runner-up team at state track.

Philip finished second to Colman-Egan, which graduated a host of top finishers from last season’s title run. Gregory, Ipswich and Bennett County rounded out the top-five teams last season. The trio of teams will again be among the top contenders this season.
