RAPID CITY — Belle Fourche’s Rhys Pearson was among the double winners at Tuesday’s West River Last Chance Meet at O'Harra Stadium.

Rhys Pearson won the 800-meter run (2:16.63) and 3,200-meter run (12:29.38). Pearson, Mikka Dunavant, Jazlyn Olson and Berklee Nore won the 1,600-meter relay (4:13.57). 

Hot Springs’ Ashlynn Elshere won the 200-meter dash (:25.92) and 400-meter dash (:58.47). Custer’s Karyn Ellerton won the shot put (38-10) and discus (126-7). Rapid City Stevens’ Jace Gingras won the long jump (21-10.25) and triple jump (41-11). 

On the girls side, Rapid City Stevens captured multiple first-place finishes. Stevens’ Ava Holzwarth won the 100-meter dash (:12.30) and took second in the long jump (19-0). Rapid City Stevens’ Maya Khachikian won the 100-meter hurdles (:14.42) and teammate Sylvie Mortimer won the 300-meter hurdles (:45.94). 

Khachikian, Riley Willet, Holzwarth and Ella Bradeen won the 400-meter relay (:47.09), breaking their own state record in the event. Taylor Steever, Berkley Larson, Sophia Guge and Bailey Holland won the 800-meter relay (1:45.76). 

Bradeen won the long jump (19-6). Rapid City Stevens’ Ava Fessler won the high jump (5-3). 

Rapid City Stevens’ Kade Olmsted won the javelin (182-5). 

Rapid City Central’s Izzy Fischer won the 1,600-meter run (5:24.27). 

Douglas’ Abagail Wieczorek, Kira Ubence, Jay Rios and Aurora Evans won the 3,200-meter relay (10:26.65). 

STM’s Samantha Ponto, Jenna Elder, Amara Usera and Sydney Giuseffi won the sprint medley relay (4:35.75). 

Rapid City Central’s Leah Landry won the javelin (125-4). Custer’s Tenlee Stiefel won the pole vault (12-3). Hill City’s Alaina Dean won the triple jump (36-4). 

On the boys side, Rapid City Central’s Onzei Weaver won the 200-meter dash (:22.16) and placed second in the 100-meter dash (:10.92). Weaver, Zayden Gering, Brayden Jackson and Sean Smith won the 800-meter relay (1:29.52). Jackson, Xander Zimmerman, Teotl Watters and Smith won the 1,600-meter relay (3:31.32). 

Rapid City Stevens’ Nolan Long won the 100-meter dash (:10.89). Long, Eric Morrow, Landen Meyer and Gavan Novotny won the 400-meter relay (:43.15). Rapid City Stevens’ Jack Day won the 110-meter hurdles (:14.41).

Belle Fourche’s Nathan Hudson, Griffen Biehl, Clifford Torberson and Thad McKenney won the 3,200-meter relay (8:56.97). Belle Fourche’s Gabe Raba won the discus (151-4).  

Rapid City Stevens’ Racyn Bradley won the 400-meter dash (:51.24). 

Hill City’s Tate Grabow won the 800-meter run (1:55.19). Rapid City Central’s Eric Errea won the 1,600-meter run (4:25.96). 

Rapid City Central’s Espn Magelky won the 3,200-meter run (10:26.61). Hill City’s Brensen Veneklasen won the 300-meter hurdles (:40.75). St. Thomas More’s Maxon Speed won the shot put with a toss of 57-0. 

Rapid City Central’s Coy Urban won the high jump (6-7). Sturgis’ Ethan Graf won the pole vault (13-0).
