MITCHELL — Trey Speer paced Chamberlain to the Region 3A girls golf title on Tuesday.

Speer carded an 83 at Lakeview Golf Course, shooting a 42 on the front nine and a 41 on the back nine. She finished with eight pars and one birdie on the day. 

Winner’s Gracie Root (87) and Chamberlain’s Natalie Nelson (94) placed second and third, respectively. Cheyenne-Eagle Butte’s Isabella Ganje (96) and Chamberlain’s Jayde McQuirk (96) finished fourth and fifth, respectively. 

Chamberlain (374) won the team title, followed by Winner (390) and Mount Vernon/Plankinton (474). The Cubs, Warriors and Titans all qualified as teams for the Class A girls golf tournament on June 1-2 in North Sioux City.
