BOULDER CANYON, Nev. — Little Wound High School graduate Lance Christensen Jr., and the Colorado Christian University men’s golf team is tied for fifth place after Day 1 of the NCAA Division II tournament. 

The Cougars shot a 283 and is tied for fifth place with Georgia Southwestern. West Texas A&M (278) and Missouri-St. Louis (278) are tied for first place. 

Christensen Jr., shot a 3-under 69, shooting a 33 on the front nine and a 36 on the back nine. His round included three birdies on the front nine and two birdies on the back nine. Christensen Jr., is tied for 10th place, and is three shots off the lead. 

The tournament from Boulder Creek Golf Club in Boulder City, Nevada, continues on Tuesday.
