GARRETSON — Madison’s Dylan Gerdes and Dell Rapids’ Rorie Thoreson win individual titles at Tuesday’s Jesse James meet contested at the River Ridge golf course. 

The Arlington girls captured the team title with 24 points, ahead of Dell Rapids St. Mary (32) and Baltic (44). Flandreau (50) and Madison (85) rounded out the top five teams. 

The Beresford boys captured the team title with 34 points, ahead of Madison (46) and Flandreau Indian (63). SWMCH-EHS (68) and Flandreau (69) rounded out the top five teams.

Tea Area girls, Dakota Valley boys titles at Canton Invitational

CANTON — The Tea Area girls and Dakota Valley boys won titles at Tuesday’s Canton Invitational run at the Hiawatha Golf Course. 

The Dakota Valley boys won the team title with 23 points, well ahead of West Central (36) and Tea Area (38). Vermillion (66) and Elk Point-Jefferson (75) rouned out the top five teams. 

The Tea Area girls won the team title with 30 points, just ahead of West Central (31). Dakota Valley (32) and Canton (58) rounded out the top four teams. 

Tea Area’s Dawson Lowery won the individual title (19:57) while Jayce Babb of Tea Area won the girls race (19:31).
