Cheyenne-Eagle Butte 59, Omaha Nation (Neb.) 51

RAPID CITY — Four players finished in double figures as Cheyenne-Eagle Butte defeated Omaha Nation Thursday.

Jayden Marshall led the way with 15 points and four rebounds, Damien Clown had 10 points and six rebounds, Nehemiah Veaux collected 10 points and eight rebounds, while Easton Lawrence added 10 points and four rebounds in the win.

ON’s Dason Romo had 15 points, six rebounds, Keelan Kaaihue totaled 10 points and three rebounds, Keesan Kaaihue tallied eight points, while Tayven Wolfe collected six points and three steals in the loss.


Rapid City Christian 74, Little Wound 25

RAPID CITY — Benson Kieffer’s 18 points lifted powered a Rapid City Christian victory over Little Wound Thursday at the Lakota Nation Invitational.

Kieffer totaled 18 points, three steals, two assists and two rebounds, Simon Kieffer had 12 points, six steals, four assists and two rebounds, Julius Frog collected nine points, five rebounds and two blocks, Sully Kieffer tallied nine points, while Aiden Roberts had five points and three steals in the win.

LW’s Dylan Ferguson had four points, Kenyon Janis tallied four points and two steals, while Jameson O’Rourke totaled four points and two rebounds in the loss.


Santee 62, Lower Brule 61

RAPID CITY — Three players reached double figures as Santee, Nebraska slipped past Lower Brule in boys basketball action Thursday at the Lakota Nation Invitational.

Christian Torrez led Santee with 22 points and 15 rebounds. TaSunka Starlin added 20 points to go along with two rebounds, three assists and three steals. Akesha Starlin chipped in with 14 points and had nine rebounds, three assists and three steals. 

Jason Thompson led Lower Brule with 18 points and added three rebounds and two steals. Payton Palmier had a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds. 


Crow Creek 55, Takini 14

RAPID CITY — Crow Creek defeated Takini at the Lakota Nation Invitational Friday.

Justin St. John had 11 points, eight rebounds, five steals and four assists, Jevjuan Dion totaled 10 points and four steals, Bryson Drapeau had eight points, three rebounds and a steal, King Rencountre recorded seven points, three rebounds, two steals and two blocks, while Walter Gipson tallied six points, three rebounds and three steals in the win.

Takini’s Xavier Condon tallied six points, four rebounds and four steals, Antwon Hayes had five points and four rebounds, Dawson Blue Arm pulled down seven rebounds, while Drayveus Yellow Owl had three points and five rebounds in the loss.


Lakota Tech 61, Mahpiya Luta 55

RAPID CITY — Lakota Tech held on to defeat Mahpiya Luta during Thursday’s Lakota Nation Invitational.

Julian Tonche led the charge with 17 points, two rebounds, two assists and three steals, Davonte Ross had 13 points, three rebounds and a steal, Treyon Sam tallied 14 points and three rebounds, while Domic Johnson had six points and six rebounds in the win.

ML’s Caden Pourier had 16 points and three rebounds, Daniel Weston tallied 13 points and five rebounds, while Okte Spotted Eagle recorded 10 points, four steals and two rebounds in the loss.


Todd County 71, McLaughlin 35

RAPID CITY — Reuben Spotted Horse had 21 points in Todd County’s victory over McLaughlin Thursday.

Spotted Horse finished with 21 points and nine rebounds, Oniya Whirlwind Soldier had 16 points, four assists and four steals, Chris Ellert tallied 13 points, seven rebounds and two steals, while Ciante Black Spotted Horse, Stephen Lone Dog, and Ken Clavano each had six points in the win.

McLaughlin’s Boston Miller totaled 10 points, Lai’Ty Brown Otter had eight points and four rebounds, while John Eagle Jr. totaled four points and six rebounds in the loss.


Dupree 58, Wakpala 39

RAPID CITY — Four players scored in double figures in Dupree’s victory over Wakpala Thursday.

Cruz Birkeland and Braydon Terveen-Smith each had 14 points, Tre White Wolf tallied 11 points, 10 rebounds, three steals and a block, while Spencer Olsen recorded 10 points and two steals for Dupree.

Wakpala’s Lane Cadotte recorded a double-double with 17 points and 11 rebounds, adding two steals and a block, Bretten Wells had 10 points, Lawrence Gooden totaled six points, nine rebounds, two blocks and a steal, while Tavaughn Steele recorded 10 rebounds and three blocks in the loss.


Crazy Horse 76, Tiospaye Topa 38

RAPID CITY — Donnie Ghost Dog erupted for 29 points as Crazy Horse defeated Tiospaye Topa Thursday at the LNI.

Ghost Dog finished with 29 points, four steals and two rebounds, DeVaughn Between Lodges tallied 18 points, three rebounds and five steals, Terrell Ashley had six points, three rebounds and three steals, Kaydo Hornbeck added five points and two rebounds, while Jacob High Horse tallied five points and eight rebounds in the win.

TT’s Laken Traversie added 13 points, two rebounds and a steal, Isaiah Lee added 11 points, three steals and two rebounds, while JaKolby Rousseau tallied six points, four rebounds and three assists in the loss.


Custer 60, Wall 32

RAPID CITY — Cody Dirkes’ 19-point burst lifted Custer past Wall during Thursday’s LNI action.

Dirkes finished with 19 points, seven rebounds and a block, Kyle Virtue tallied 12 points, four rebounds, a block and a steal, Ayden Petz had eight points and seven rebounds, Rhett Lowe totaled eight points and four rebounds, while Carter Boyster had five points in the win.

Wall’s Teelan Kjerstad led with 16 points, three rebounds and a block, Emmet Dinger had eight points, while Trevor Schultz added six points as well.


Marty 69, Oelrichs 38

RAPID CITY — Marty took down Oelrichs Thursday night at the Lakota Nation Invitational.

Greg Zephier tallied 13 points, seven steals and two rebounds, Tatetawa Bair recorded eight points and two rebounds, Amaziah Zephier added sevn points, three rebounds and four assists, Steven Peters totaled seven points and three rebounds, Aiden Weddell collected six points, while Taylen Honomichl recorded five points and two rebounds in the win.

Oelrichs’ Andre Warrior added 12 points, eight rebounds and six steals, Anthony Warrior totaled seven points and seven rebounds, while Jesse Her Many Horses had seven points, four rebounds and three steals in the loss.


White River 63, Tiospa Zina 39

RAPID CITY — Teagen Bouman’s 22-point’s lifted White River over Tiospa Zina Thursday at the LNI.

Bouman finished with 22 points, five rebounds and three steals, Bryson One Star tallied 11 points, five rebounds and two steals, Riley Bouman had 10 points and four steals, while Liam White Hat recorded six points in the win.

TZ’s Ashden Sierra tallied 22 points, seven rebounds, three blocks, three assists and three steals, Tabawani Peters added seven points, three rebounds and a block, while Jeffrey Heminger Jr. tallied four points and three rebounds in the loss.
