Lower Brule 78, McLaughlin 43

RAPID CITY — Three players scored in double figures as Lower Brule took down McLaughlin Friday at the Lakota Nation Invitational.

Elliot LaRoche led the way with 14 points, four rebounds and a steal, Kristian Antelope tallied 11 points and four steals, Jason Thompson had 10 points and two steals, Ymari Staples and Payton Palmier each had eight points and four rebounds, while Lane Gray tallied eight points, two rebounds, two steals and two assists in the win.

McLaughlin’s Quincy McCloud recorded seven points, three rebounds and four steals, while Caleb Oliveros, Javon Chasing Hawk, Trevor Iron Shield, and Jazz Bull Head each totaled six points in the loss.


Little Wound 66, Mahpiya Luta 59

RAPID CITY — Cashus Hunter’s 21-point performance lifted Little Wound over Mahpiya Luta Friday at the Lakota Nation Invitational.

Hunter totaled 21 points, six rebounds, two assists and two steals for Little Wound, Daelan LeBeaux had 16 points, four steals and two rebounds, Kinyan Catches Enemy tallied 10 points, six rebounds and two steals, while Isaiah Sitting Crow and Dylan Ferguson each had five points in the win.

ML’s Jacoby Spotted Eagle dropped 21 points, five rebounds and three steals in the loss, Braiden Lunderman totaled nine points and two steals, Daniel Weston had seven points and eight rebounds, while Braylon Little added six points, two rebounds and two steals in the loss.


Wakpala 80, Takini 28

RAPID CITY — Four players hit double-figures as Wakpala defeated Takini during Friday’s LNI action.

Lane Cadotte had 19 points, four rebounds, four assists and three steals, Lawrence Gooden totaled 11 points, six rebounds and two assists, TaVaughn Steele tallied 11 points, six rebounds and two steals, while Bretten Welles had 11 points and three rebounds. Kwen Jordan added seven points, four rebounds and four steals in the win as well.

Takini’s Antwon Hayes added 10 points and four steals, Xavier Condon tallied eight points and six rebounds, while Jamiah Dupris had five points and four rebounds in the loss.


Tiospaye Topa 62, Oelrichs 56

RAPID CITY — Three players scored in double figures as Tiospaye Topa edged Oelrichs Friday.

Andrei Hojas led with 14 points, three rebounds and three steals, Jakolby Rousseau had 13 points, six steals and five rebounds, Isaiah Lee totaled 11 points, nine rebounds and three steals, Bailee Hall added nine points and 17 rebounds, while Laken Traversie totaled seven points and five steals in the win.

Oelrichs’ Andre Warrior had a game-high 29 points, adding six rebounds and three blocks in the loss, Anthony Warrior totaled 18 points, five rebounds and six steals, Royal Blue Bear had five points and eight rebounds, while Jesse Her Many Horses had two points, two rebounds and five steals in the loss.


Omaha Nation (Neb.) 86, Tiospa Zina 33

RAPID CITY — Four players scored in double figures as Omaha Nation defeated Tiospa Zina Friday at the Lakota Nation Invitational.

Keesan Kaaihue led with 15 points, six rebounds, five steals and three assists, Franklin Lasley added 12 points, four rebounds and two steals, Dason Romon had 12 points, nine rebounds, a block and a steal, Mitch Grant tallied 10 points and six boards, while Kalton White Eyes and Tayven Wolfe each had eight points in the win.

TZ’s Ashden Sierra had 18 points and eight rebounds, Devon Bluehorse totaled four points and seven rebounds, while Tayton Thompson collected four points in the loss.


St. Francis 70, Wall 68

RAPID CITY — Kenyon McCloskey exploded for 22 points as St. Francis edged Wall during Friday’s Lakota Nation Invitational action.

McCloskey finished with 22 points and five rebounds, Johnny Gunhammer  added 17 points and six rebounds, Mackenzie Wike had 11 points, six rebounds and three steals, while Roger Roether III and Ty Valandra-Fast Horse each had six points and five rebounds in the win.

Wall’s Teelan Kjerstad led with 24 points, five rebounds and three steals, Emmet Dinger added 16 points and six rebounds, Jace Mohr totaled 11 points and six rebounds, while Dawson Handcock collected seven points and six rebounds in the loss.


Dupree 67, Crow Creek 35

RAPID CITY — Three players hit double figures as Dupree defeated Crow Creek Friday at the Lakota Nation Invitational.

Braydon Terveen-Smith led the Tigers with 16 points and eight rebounds, Tre White Wolf had 10 points and seven rebounds, Spencer Olsen tallied 10 points, Cruz Birkeland had eight points, six rebounds and three assists, while Kayle Bridwell had seven points in the win.

CC’s King Rencountre led with 13 points, three steals and two blocks, Jevjuan Dion had six points and three assists, Jade Sazue tallied six points, four rebounds and three steals, Walter Gipson had five points, three rebounds and three steals, while Bryson Drapeau had three points and five rebounds in the loss.


Rapid City Christian 76, Lakota Tech 46

RAPID CITY — Benson Kieffer’s 21-point outing helped Class A No. 4 Rapid City Christian take down Lakota Tech Friday at the Lakota Nation Invitational.

Kieffer finished with 21 points and three steals, Simon Kieffer had 16 points, five rebounds and three steals, Julius Frog totaled 10 points, five rebounds and a steal, while Lars Kieffer and Aiden Roberts each had eight points in the win.

LT’s Dominic Johnson had 12 points and four rebounds, Jacob Catches tallied nine points, Tryeon Sam added eight points and a steal, while Devonte Ross totaled six points and three rebounds in the loss.


Todd County 59, Santee (Neb.) 56

RAPID CITY — Todd County hung on to defeat Santee during Friday’s LNI action.

Oniya Whirlwind Soldier had 16 points and eight rebounds, Chris Ellert tallied 15 points and six rebounds, Ty Valandra tallied nine points and five rebounds, while Kendrik Easter added eight points and seven rebounds in the win.

Santee’s TaSunka Starlin tallied 20 points, Christian Torrez added 17 points, four rebounds and three steals, while Akesha Starlin tallied 10 points, five steals and three rebounds in the loss.


Cheyenne-Eagle Butte 65, White River 44

RAPID CITY — Nehemiah Veaux’s 17-point outing lifted Cheyenne-Eagle Butte to a Lakota Nation Invitational victory Friday.

Veaux finished with 17 points and two rebounds, Damien Clown tallied 12 points, Easton Lawrence tallied eight points and 10 rebounds, while Jayden Marshall collected six points in the win.

WR’s Bryson One Star totaled 16 points, five rebounds and three steals, Teagen Bouman tallied 10 points and six rebounds, Kreg Stodard added nine points and three rebounds, while Mahki Krogman had four points and four rebounds in the loss.


Pine Ridge 48, Custer 36

RAPID CITY — Marvin Richard III exploded for 31 points as Pine Ridge defeated Custer Friday in the Lakota Nation Invitational.

Richard finished with 31 points, six rebounds and three steals, Alex Bissonette had eight points and eight rebounds,while Anthony Steele tallied five points and four rebounds in the win.

Custer’s Brady Virtue led with 11 points, Rhett Lower had eight points, eight rebounds, two blocks and two steals, Cody Dirkes tallied six points, seven rebounds, two blocks and a steal, while Kyle Virtue recorded six points and four rebounds in the loss.


Marty 77, Crazy Horse 70

RAPID CITY — Greg Zephier powered Marty with 20 points in its win over Crazy Horse Friday.

Zephier finished with 20 points, nine rebounds, five assists and five steals, Jordan Zephier recorded eight points and seven rebounds, Tatetawa Bair had eight points and five rebounds, while Aiden Weddell tallied five points and five rebounds in the win.

CH’s DeVaugh Between Lodges led with 21 points, six rebounds, four steals and three assists, Terrell Ashley had 15 points and four rebounds, Donnie Ghost Dog totaled 13 points and four steals, while Jacob High Horse had six points and 10 rebounds in the loss.
