Mitchell 61, Rapid City Central 47

RAPID CITY — Markus Talley and Colton Smith combined for 52 points as Class AA No. 1 Mitchell defeated Rapid City Central in Saturday high school boys basketball action.

Talley finished with 28 points and hit 6-of-10 3-point attempts. Smith added 24 points and nine rebounds. Gavin Hinker recorded six points and nine rebounds. 

For Rapid City Central, Gilbert led the way with 18 points and four rebounds. Julius Duran added 13 points. Junor Allen and Preston Yellow scored seven points apiece. 


Winner 68, Sully Buttes 51

WINNER — Carter Craven erupted for 37 points in Winner’s high school boys basketball win on Saturday.

Winner’s Ryder Halligan and Shawn Hammerback scored 15 points and 13 points, respectively. 

Sully Buttes’ Wesley Wittler scored 22 points, while Gavin Colson added 10 points. Teghan Westphal scored nine points and Eli Mercer added six points.


Warner 61, Potter County 47

WARNER — Brennan Wolf-Donut’s 21-point burst lifted Warner past Potter County in high school boys basketball action Saturday.

Wolf-Donut totaled 21 points, Drew Bakeberg had 14 points, Alec Mikkelsen added 11 points, Braydon Kroll totaled nine points, while Jesiah Baum had five points in the win.

PC’s Jack and Jhett Simon each had 12 points, Jerand Chase totaled nine points, while Landon Larson collected eight points in the loss.


Gregory 61, North Central (Neb.) 23 

GREGORY — Noah Bearshield and Lincoln Juracek combined for 40 points to power Gregory to a boys basketball win on Saturday.

Bearshield finished with 24 points, while Juracek added 16 points. 


Howard 47, Wessington Springs 40

HOWARD — Howard outlasted Class B No. 3 Wessington Springs in Saturday high school boys basketball action.

Howard’s Carson Hinker finished with 15 points, while Luke Koepsell added 11 points. Lucas Feldhaus had nine points. Kolt Becker added six points.

For Wessington Springs, Colby Flowers recorded 15 points. Parker Graff and Luke Larson scored seven points apiece. Karter Mebius had five points.


Mobridge-Pollock  59, Timber Lake 42

MOBRIDGE — Four players hit double figures as Mobridge-Pollock defeated Timber Lake during Saturday’s high school boys basketball action.

Kale Knudson had 16 points, Shooter Frederick totaled 15 points,Easton Eisemann added 12 points, Shane Henderson recorded 11 points, while Jackson Eisemann had five points in the win.

TL’s Cole Ducheneaux totaled 12 points, Braden Lawerence had nine points, Kanton Hunt added eight points, while Treydon Du Preez had five points in the loss.


Webster Area 62, Ipswich 53

IPSWICH — Matthew Mount dropped 35 points as Webster Area defeated Ipswich Saturday in high school boys basketball action.

Mount totaled 35 points, four rebounds and two steals, Ian Lesnar had 13 points, four rebounds, four steals and three assists, while Seth Lesnar tallied 11 points and six rebounds in the win.

Ipswich’s Tucker Kadlec tallied 20 points and 10 rebounds, Max Kulesa totaled 18 points, six rebounds and four assists, while Kyle Hettich had four points and three rebounds in the loss.


Tea Area 68, Watertown 56

TEA — Four players scored in double figures as Tea Area picked up a boys basketball win on Saturday. 

Marshall Smythe finished with 18 points, while Gavin Shawd added 15 points and nine rebounds. Griffin Wiebenga logged 14 points, while Jaxson Merrigan had 11 points and seven rebounds. Mitch Grant posted five points. Wiebenga and Merrigan hit three 3-pointers apiece.

For Watertown, Jackson McClemans had 22 points. Gabe Norberg added 11 points and three rebounds. Carter Buisker and Mitch Olson had nine points apiece.
