Dupree 58, Lead-Deadwood 55

MITCHELL — Three players scored in double figures in Dupree’s three-point victory over Lead-Deadwood in the opening game of the 2024 Hoop City Classic.

Tre White Wolf powered the Tigers victory with 16 points, five rebounds, four assists and four steals, Cruz Birkeland tallied 12 points, seven rebounds, four assists and three steals, Roper Eaton had 11 points, two rebounds, three assists and three steals, Braydon Terveen-Smith recorded seven points and three rebounds, while Spencer Olsen and Talyn Ley each had six points in the win.

LD’s Beau Wichterman had a game-high 20 points, eight rebounds, a steal and a block, Canon Rogers added 11 points, four rebounds and an assist, Ethan Finn and Ben Wichteman each had six points, including a combined 18 rebounds, while Brady Rantapaa and Blake Janssen each had five points in the loss.


Orlando Christian Prep (Flo.) 57, St. George’s (Tenn.) 51

MITCHELL — Orlando Christian Prep topped St. George’s during Friday’s Hoop City Classic action.

OCP’s Josh Theus led the way with 14 points, 12 rebounds and six assists, Zeke Gunn had 15 points, five rebounds and two assists, Roman Mathieu tallied 13 points, five rebounds and three assists, while Henry Thomas had 12 points, three rebounds and two assists in the win.

SG’s Tristan Farris tallied a game-high 18 points, Silas Jones had nine points, four rebounds and four assists, Onterious Odom had nine points and 10 rebounds, while Rollin Crouse had six points in the loss.


Totino-Grace (Minn.) 74, Coronado (Nev.) 56

MITCHELL — Four players reached double digits in scoring as Totino=Grace defeated Coronado Friday in the Hoop City Classic.

Chace Watley led the way with 18 points and nine assists, Vince Jacob tallied 15 points, five rebounds and three assists, Malachi Hill had 11 points, seven rebounds, six assists and two steals, Jalan Hynes finished with 11 points, while Daniel Zoa had nine points and four rebounds in the win.

Coronado’s Mason Abittan tallied a game-high 24 points, Jonny Collins had 16 points and three rebounds, JJ Buchanan totaled six points and four rebounds, while Zaire Lawrey added four points in the loss.


Orono (Minn.) 62, Houston (Tenn.) 61

MITCHELL — Orono held on late to defeat Houston to close out the opening day of the 2024 Hoop City Classic.

Nolan Groves led the way for Orono with 25 points, eight rebounds and six assists, Brady Wooley had 12 points, seven rebounds, three steals and two assists, Grant Hansen had nine points, while Mitchell Kauch added eight points and five rebounds in the win.

Houston’s Justin Frison had 20 points, three rebounds, three assists and two steals, Kaleb Jefferies added 14 points, five rebounds, two assists and two steals, Jordan Myles tallied 14 points, 10 rebounds, an assist and a steal, while Keron Jackson Jr. totaled 10 points, four rebounds and two assists in the loss.
