Hanson 57, Kimball/White Lake 29

WHITE LAKE — Hanson picked up a 28-point girls basketball win over Kimball/White Lake as coach Jim Bridge recorded his 600th win on Friday.  

Hanson's Annalyse Weber finished with 16 points, while Eliza Oltmanns added 13 points. Erin Dewald posted 10, while Vanessa Doyle had four assists. 

KWL's Ryann Nielsen finished with 10 points and six boards. Harley Namanny added seven points, eight rebounds and five assists. Dani Deffenbaugh posted seven rebounds.

White River 58, Bridgewater-Emery 56

SALEM — Class B No. 3 White River outlasted Bridgewater-Emery for a girls basketball win at the DWU/Culver’s Classic on Friday. 

White River’s Maleighya Estes finished with 29 points and eight rebounds. 

Bridgewater-Emery’s Julia Weber recorded 18 points, while Chloe Schmitt added 14 points, nine rebounds and four assists. Tayler Schallenkamp and Casey Meyer scored nine and eight points, respectively. 


Aberdeen Christian 48, Corsica-Stickney 40

SALEM — Class B No. 5 Aberdeen Christian outscored Class B No. 2 Corsica-Stickney 15-7 in the fourth quarter to secure a girls basketball win at Friday’s DWU/Culver’s Classic. 

Mallory Miller led the Knights with 22 points and 10 rebounds. Joy Rohrbach added 12 points and six rebounds. Grace Kaiser logged seven points, while Hanna Miller added four points and five rebounds. Chloe Bosma had five rebounds.

Corsica-Stickney’s Avery Broughton logged 13 points and 12 rebounds. Morgan Clites added 11 points and four rebounds. Rachel Gerlach posted 10 points and six rebounds. Payton DeLange had six points and four rebounds, while Casey Tolsma added five boards. 


St. Thomas More 47, Viborg-Hurley 34

SALEM — Reese Ross and Mairin Duffy combined for 31 points to lift Class A No. 4 St. Thomas More to a girls basketball win over Viborg-Hurley at Friday’s DWU/Culver’s Classic. 

Ross tossed in 19 points, while Duffy added 12 points. 

Viborg-Hurley’s Denae Mach scored 11 points, while Coral Mason recorded nine points and seven rebounds. Charley Nelson netted seven points and four assists, while Estelle Lee added five points and five rebounds. Delana Mach grabbed 10 rebounds. 

 

Ethan 59, Mount Vernon/Plankinton 47

SALEM — Ethan topped Mount Vernon/Plankinton at the girls DWU/Culver’s Classic on Friday.

Hannah Bartscher led the Rustlers with 26 points, while Bella Nesheim added 14 points. Marissa Stom scored 12 points.

MVP’s Reagan Rus scored 21 points, while Emilee Fox had seven points. 

Howard 56, Jones County 54

SALEM — Howard edged Jones County in a girls basketball game at Friday’s DWU/Culver’s Classic.

Howard’s Kate Connor scored 19 points and nine rebounds, while Abby Aslesen tallied 17 points. Rylee Rudebusch chipped in eight points, while Trinity Palmquist added seven points.

Jones County’s Mallory Valburg scored a game-high 24 points and 10 rebounds, while Jadyn Jensen added 15 points and six boards.


Deubrook Area 42, Colman-Egan 39

COLMAN — Kadence Bowne’s basket and free throw with 0.4 seconds left lifted Deubrook Area to a girls basketball win over Colman-Egan on Friday.

Bowne finished with seven points and six rebounds. Emma Vandermeer led the Dolphins with 11 points, while Carley Landmark tallied eight points and seven rebounds. Brooke Koppatschek added seven points

CE’s Mackenzie Hemmer scored a game-high 19 points, 11 rebounds, and five steals. Brynlee Landis added 10 points.


Sanborn Central/Woonsocket 45, Highmore-Harrold 20

HIGHMORE — Sanborn Central/Woonsocket used a 20-4 first quarter to pull away from Highmore-Harrold for a girls basketball win on Friday.

Trista White led SCW with 12 points, while Lizzie Boschee scored nine points. Trinity Boschee tallied eight points, while Teya Moody chipped in seven points. Brooke Doering added six points.

HH’s Maddie Knox scored eight points. 


Winner 74, McLaughlin 18

WINNER — Winner used a 23-2 first quarter to pull away from McLaughlin in a girls basketball game on Friday.

Winner’s Bella Swedlund poured in a game-high 26 points, while Ava Craven recorded 11 points. Ellie Brozik added seven points, six assists, and eight steals.

McLaughlin’s Lakeitha Weasel scored 12 points.


Dakota Valley 73, Dell Rapids 47

NORTH SIOUX CITY — Rylee Rosenquist’s double-double propelled Dakota Valley to a girls basketball win over Dell Rapids on Friday.

Rosenquist finished with 31 points, 10 rebounds, and four steals. Jorja VanDenHul scored 16 points, while Peyton Tritz added 11 points.


Webster Area 68, Tiospa Zina 32

TIOSPA ZINA — Webster Area raced past Tiospa Zina for a girls basketball win on Friday.

Jaiden Bauer and Paige Snell each scored 13 points to lead the Bearcats. Payton Snell and Erin Case tallied seven and six points, respectively. Alivia Baumgarn, Harley Johnson, and Katie Braun chipped in five points apiece.

Tiospa Zina was led by Kennadee Bissonette with 13 points, while Alexia Quinn and Jeslyn Crawford each scored seven points.


Rapid City Central 35, Harrisburg 29

HARRISBURG — Class AA No. 4 Rapid City Central outlasted Harrisburg in a girls basketball game on Friday.

The Cobblers were led by Sadie Glade with 17 points.

No stats were reported for Harrisburg.


Huron 45, Aberdeen Central 34

HURON — Huron outlasted Aberdeen Central in a girls basketball game on Friday.

Isabella Shreeve scored 15 points, while Hamtyn Heinz tallied 12 points. Isabelle Ellwein recorded nine points, while Heaven Gainey added six points and seven rebounds.

Aberdeen Central’s Kiana Mounga scored 14 points and Kyra Griese added 11 points.


Chester Area 77, Canistota 58

CHESTER — Emmerson Eppard and Emery Larson combined for 56 points as Chester Area pulled away from Canistota in a girls basketball game on Friday.

Eppard scored 30 points and six assists, while Larson added 26 points. Kaylor Geraets grabbed seven rebounds, while Jacy Wolf had seven steals.

Canistota’s Kayla Papendick scored 21 points, while Bailey Spicer added 15 points.

 

Tea Area 46, Lennox 15

TEA — Mara Grant and Katie Vasecka combined for 33 points and 11 rebounds to power Tea Area to a girls basketball win over Lennox on Friday.

Grant finished with 20 points and five boards, while Vasecka had 13 points and six rebounds. Kendra McKinney added six points and four steals. 

Lennox’s Courtney Sandal had six points.


Elk Point-Jefferson 37, Beresford 29

BERESFORD — Elk Point-Jefferson outlasted Beresford for a girls basketball win on Friday.

Ashley Brewer led the Huskies with 13 points, while Bentlee Kollbaum added 12 points.

Beresford’s Ella Merriman and Kara Niles each scored eight points.


Boys basketball 

Winner 64, McLaughlin 19

WINNER — Class A No. 3 Winner jumped out to a 20-4 first-quarter lead en route to a boys basketball win over McLaughlin on Friday. 

Winner’s Blake Volmer finished with 22 points, eight rebounds, five steals and four assists. Slade Cournoyer and Elijah Peterson added eight points apiece. Cournoyer also had five rebounds. Finn Bartels and Aiden Barfuss scored six and five points, respectively. Ethan Bartels tallied five rebounds, four steals and four points. 

McLaughlin’s Lane Lawrence had nine points, while Rayden Bull Head grabbed 11 boards. 


Gregory 58, Scotland 42

GREGORY — Daniel Mitchell and Cruz Klundt logged double-doubles to power Gregory to a boys basketball win over Scotland on Friday.

Mitchell finished with 21 points and 10 rebounds, while Klundt added 19 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists. 


Dakota Valley 75, Dell Rapids 55

NORTH SIOUX CITY — Three players scored in double figures as Class A No. 1 Dakota Valley pulled away from Dell Rapids in a boys basketball game on Friday.

DV’s Isaac Bruns scored 27 points and 13 rebounds, while Randy Rosenquist recorded 18 points and eight assists. Jaxson Wingert tallied 10 points and 15 rebounds, while Sam Faldmo added seven points.

No stats were reported for Dell Rapids.


West Central 75, Madison 65

HARTFORD — Grafton Stroup and Dillon Jackson combined for 39 points as West Central picked up a boys basketball win over Madison on Friday.

Stroup finished with 26 points, while Jackson tallied 13 points and six assists. Jack Linneman recorded 10 points, while Braden Herr added eight points.

Madison’s Nate Ricke scored 17 points, while Aiden Jensen tallied 15 points. Mickale Dohrer tallied 12 points, while Aspen Dahl and Ben Brooks added nine points apiece.


Deubrook Area 71, Colman-Egan 51

COLMAN — Three players scored in double figures as Deubrook Area ran past Colman-Egan for a boys basketball win on Friday.

Deubrook Area’s Nicholas Bowne scored 16 points and five rebounds, while Andrew Trooien netted 15 points and six rebounds. Dominic Lacek tallied 10 points, while Parker Crooks added seven points and four steals.

CE’s Levi Baumberger scored 13 points, while Antonio Manzano tallied 10 points. Austin Gullickson and Sawyer Uhing added seven and six points, respectively.


Tea Area 71, Lennox 64

TEA — Five players scored in double figures to lift Tea Area to a boys basketball win over Lennox on Friday. 

Reis Kirschenmann led the Titans with 18 points and 12 rebounds. Cael Lundin added 13 points, seven rebounds, four assists and three steals. Sam Almas logged 14 points and four rebounds. Jonah Kocer and Klayton Sattler scored 10 points apiece, while Sattler grabbed six rebounds. Alex Pies scored five points. 

Lennox’s Porter Ihnen finished with 28 points and 12 rebounds. Jackson Arlt added 10 points, while Conner Eich had nine points. Talan Diercks logged eight points and Jaxon Plank posted five points. Carter Van Houten grabbed five rebounds. 


Wilmot 54, Lake Preston 38

LAKE PRESTON — Trey Jurgens big performance propelled Wilmot to a boys basketball win over Lake Preston on Friday.

Jurgens poured in 32 points, while Brayden Ebben tallied 10 points. Ben Kasuske added eight points.

Lake Preston’s Jake Larsen scored 10 points, while Josh McMasters and Jonah Denison each tallied nine points. Riley Casper added eight points.


Viborg-Hurley 61, Centerville 43

CENTERVILLE — Three players scored in double figures as Viborg-Hurley picked up a boys basketball win over Centerville on Friday.

Blake Schroedermeier recorded 20 points and 10 rebounds, while Hayden Gilbert recorded 16 points, seven rebounds, and six assists. Gage Goettertz added 11 points and four rebounds.

Centerville’s Logan Bobzin scored 15 points, while Cole Edberg tallied nine points and five rebounds. Malachi Brouwer added six points.

 

Faulkton Area 56, Langford Area 27

FAULKTON — Faulkton Area pulled away from Langford Area for a boys basketball win on Friday. 

Layne Cotton and Hunter Niederbaumer scored 14 and 13 points, respectively. Bennett Cassens added nine points. Ryan Beckler and Gus Kopecky scored five points apiece. 

Langford Area’s Jesse Keough scored 12 points. Ben Gustafson added eight points, while Brayden Peterson scored six points.


Clark/Willow Lake 54, Redfield 34

REDFIELD — Tyler O’Neill powered Clark/Willow Lake to a boys basketball win over Redfield on Friday.

O’Neill led the Cyclones with 27 points and hit five 3-pointers. Trey Huber added 12 points, while Kaplan Felberg added 10 points and 12 rebounds.

Redfield’s Mitchell Mack scored 15 points and eight boards, while Payton Osborn posted nine points. Justin Ratigan added 14 boards.

Chester Area 74, Freeman 47

CHESTER — Chester Area cruised past Freeman to pick up a boys basketball win on Friday.

Chester Area’s Stratton Eppard scored 24 points, while Jovi Wolf added 15 points. Brock Wages grabbed 13 rebounds, while Ryan Benson dished out five assists.

Freeman’s Tate Sorensen scored 20 points.


Sioux Falls Lincoln 68, Brandon Valley 40

SIOUX FALLS — Three players scored in double figures to lift Class AA No. 5 Sioux Falls Lincoln to a boys basketball win over Brandon Valley on Friday. 

Caleb Hiatt led the Patriots with 14 points and five rebounds. J.T. Rock and Elliot Whitney scored 11 points apiece, while Rock grabbed seven rebounds. Whitney hit three 3-pointers. Saif Shah nailed three 3-pointers for nine points. Khalil Cisse logged seven points and four steals, while Cameron Jackson added six points and six rebounds. Jack Hilgenberg scored five points. 

Brandon Valley’s Landon Dulaney had 17 points and five rebounds. Lukas Morgan netted 12 points and Nate Vandeberg added five points. 


Harrisburg 85, Rapid City Central 50

HARRISBURG — Harrisburg raced past Rapid City Central for a boys basketball win on Friday.

Harrisburg’s Ethan Determan scored 21 points, while Gavin Aasheim added 12 points.

Rapid City Central’s Reno Lowe scored 15 points, while Jace Brown added 11 points.

 

Beresford 60, Elk Point-Jefferson 59

BERESFORD — Beresford edged Elk Point-Jefferson in a boys basketball game on Friday.

The Watchdogs were led by Andrew Atwood with 18 points, while Tate VanOtterloo scored 17 points. Peyton Peterson added 13 points.

EPJ was led by Landon Geary with 25 points.
