HURON — The Winner Area wrestling team wrapped up their regular season with six individuals winning titles at Saturday’s Huron Invitational. 

Rylan Robbins (106), Maxton Brozik (120), Karson Keiser (132), Konnor Osborn (138), Riley Orel (160) and Jack Kruger (182) all won championships for the Warriors. 

The team title was claimed by Aberdeen Central who racked up 258.5 points ahead of Winner Area (256.5) and Huron (197). Bon Homme/Avon (192) and Wessington Springs/Woonsocket/Wolsey-Wessington (144) rounded out the top-five. 

Aberdeen Central had four individual champions in Rayden Zens (126), Ayden Gisi (170), Samson Flakus (195) and Bryce Beitelspacher (220). 

Huron had two winners, Moses Gross (145) and Bryan Ramirez (285). 

Other individual championships were claimed by Wessington Springs/Woonsocket/Wolsey-Wessington’s Jacksen Carter (113) and Bon Homme/Avon’s Brady Bierema (152).

Deuel edges Redfield for Northeast Conference Tournament title

WEBSTER — The Deuel wrestling team racked up 125.5 points to edge Redfield (125) and Clark/Willow Lake (116) to win Saturday’s Northeast Conference wrestling tournament. Hamlin/Castlewood (100) and Milbank (96.5) rounded out the top five teams. 

Gavin Kloos (126), Korbin Whiteley (160) and Justin Granum (195) all won titles for Deuel. 

Redfield had four champions in Brady Risetter (106), Mason Whitley (160), Chase McGillivary (220) and Grady Fey (285). 

Milbank’s two champions were Brayden Christensen (145) and Barrett Schneck (170). Sisseton also had two champions in Holden Hawkins (132) and Mason Schultz (182). 

Other individual champions were Hamlin/Castlewood’s Rylan Yonker (113), Clark/Willow Lake’s Austin Vig (120) and Groton Area’s Christian Ehresmann (138).

Philip/Kadoka Area/Wall Badlands Brawlers claim title at Brawlers Wrestling Tournament

WALL — Behind seven individual champions the Philip/Kadoka Area/Wall Badlands Brawlers easily won their home tournament on Saturday. 

The Brawlers racked up 191 points ahead of Belle Fourche (90) and Harding County (90). Bennett County (89) and Rapid City Central JV (65) rounded out the top-five. 

Carter Kendrick (106), Jace Blasius (138), Gage Ravellette (145), Blair Blasius (152), Thane Simons (160), Burk Blasius (170) and Mason Heath (182) all won titles for the Brawlers. 

Neil Hicks (113), Jordan Risse (120) and Gavin Risse (126) all won titles for Bennett County. 

Other individual championships were claimed by Harding County’s Lincoln Wickstrom (132), Belle Fourche’s Gunnar Geib (195), Todd County senior Rocky Wiedman (220) and Rapid City Central JV’s Louis Whirlwind Horse (285).
