GREGORY — Gregory outscored Burke 15-9 in the fourth quarter to secure a girls basketball win on Thursday. 

Cassidy Keiser logged 17 points, while Brooklynn Kenzy added 14 points. Morgan Opbroek and Mya Determan scored eight points apiece. 

Burke’s Adisyn Indahl finished with 14 points, while Cecily Geaghan netted seven points.

Mount Vernon/Plankinton 53, Parkston 42

MOUNT VERNON — Mount Vernon/Plankinton pulled away from Parkston for a girls basketball win on Thursday.

Maria Baker led the Titans with 18 points, while Emilee Fox added 16 points. Shyla Tobin netted 10 points.

Parkston’s Abby Hohn scored 18 points, while Brielle Bruening netted seven points. 


Viborg-Hurley 47, Howard 39

HOWARD — Viborg-Hurley overcame a 13-4 first quarter deficit to defeat Howard in a girls basketball game on Thursday.

VH’s Denae Mach led all scorers with 20 points, and nine rebounds, while Coral Mason recorded a double-double of 11 points and 13 rebounds. Shelby Lyons added six points.

Howard’s Abby Aslesen scored 12 points and 13 rebounds, while Rylee Rudebusch tallied 11 points and nine rebounds. Kate Connor added six points.


Irene-Wakonda 70, Canistota 38

CANISTOTA — Emma Marshall and Nora O’Malley combined for 53 points to power Irene-Wakonda to a girls basketball win over Canistota on Thursday.

Marshall poured in 35 points, while O’Malley tallied 18 points. Madison Orr added eight points.

Canistota’s Kayla Papendick scored 12 points, while Hannah Hoffman added eight points.


De Smet 65, Bridgewater-Emery 61

DE SMET — Class B No. 2 De Smet edged Bridgewater-Emery for a girls basketball win on Thursday.

Kennadi Buchholz led De Smet with 23 points and 16 rebounds. Jada Burke added 18 points, while Emma Albrecht finished with 11 points. Hazel Luethmers scored eight points. 

BE’s Julia Weber finished with 22 points, while Morgan Uptagrafft posted 15 points. Casey Meyer and Taylor Schallenkamp scored nine points apiece. 


Aberdeen Roncalli 58, Aberdeen Christian 37

ABERDEEN — Class B No. 1 Aberdeen Roncalli topped Class B No. 3 Aberdeen Christian in girls basketball action on Thursday.

Madelyn Bragg led the Cavaliers with 23 points, while Morgan Fielder finished with 17 points. 

Aberdeen Christian’s Hanna Miller scored eight points, while Kaylee Block scored and Mallory Miller scored seven points apiece. Joy Rohrbach and Chloe Holt scored six points apiece. 


Hamlin 47, Florence/Henry 44

FLORENCE — Hamlin edged Florence/Henry in a girls basketball game on Thursday.

Hamlin’s Kami Wadsworth scored 23 points, while Addison Neuendorf netted 11 points. Ally Abraham chipped in eight points, while Zoie Fraser added five points.

The Falcons were led by Caylin Kelly with 18 points, seven rebounds, four assists, and four steals, while Reese Schmidt tallied 12 points.


Potter County 54, Ipswich 25

IPSWICH — Potter County used a 15-4 first quarter to pull away from Ipswich for a girls basketball win on Thursday.

Tyler Simon recorded a double-double of 18 points and 10 rebounds, along with six assists, while Kayden Cronin tallied 14 points and seven rebounds. Kirstie Lake, Ashlee Kaup, and Zoe Meinke each scored five points.

Ipswich’s Katie Bierman scored 12 points, four assists, and three steals.


Britton-Hecla 43, Langford Area 32

BRITTON — Britton-Hecla picked up a girls basketball win over Langford Area on Thursday.

Sterling Brassfield led the Braves with 13 points, while Jayden Bender scored 10 points.

Langford Area’s Katie Jensen and Megan Gustafson each scored 10 points.


Andes Central/Dakota Christian 37, Kimball/White Lake 29

NEW HOLLAND — Allison Muckey and Josie Brouwer combined for 29 points to pace Andes Central/Dakota Christian to a girls basketball win over Kimball/White Lake on Thursday.

Muckey finished with 17 points, six rebounds and three assists, while Brouwer added 12 points. Halle Olson had eight rebounds, while Lexie VanderPol had five rebounds. Isabella Brouwer added four steals. 

KWL’s Ryann Nielsen recorded 12 points, seven rebounds and three steals. Dani Deffenbaugh added nine points, while Fayleen Overweg added nine rebounds. Kate Havlik dished out three assists. 


Sanborn Central/Woonsocket 60, Mitchell Christian 33

FORESTBURG — Sanborn Central/Woonsocket pulled away from Mitchell Christian for a girls basketball win on Thursday.

Teya Moody scored 13 points and three steals, while Liz Boschee tallied 10 points and eight rebounds. Trinity Boschee added nine points and seven rebounds. Brooke Doering chipped in seven rebounds and seven assists.

Mitchell Christian was led by Aubrey Hofer with 23 points and 10 rebounds.


Wolsey-Wessington 59, Hitchcock-Tulare 30

TULARE — Leah Williams scored 28 points as Wolsey-Wessington picked up a girls basketball win over Hitchcock-Tulare on Thursday.

Mya Boomsma and Macie Luce scored seven points. Hailey Clarke and Taylor Horn scored six points apiece.

HT’s Katelyn Schroeder scored 13 points. Madison Hofer, Cambree Hoekman and Isabel Gilbert scored five points apiece. 


Menno 55, Freeman Academy/Marion 31

MENNO — Ashton Massey and Grace Nusz combined for 29 points to lift Menno to a girls basketball win over Freeman Academy/Marion on Thursday. 

Massey finished with 14 points and seven rebounds, while Nusz added 15 points and three steals. Paityn Huber added nine pints, while Bridget Vaith had six points and nine rebounds. Layne Schmidt scored five points.

FAM’s Jada Koerner posted 13 points and 11 boards. Estelle Waltner logged seven points and five steals. Alexa Gortmaker scored five points, while Leah Goodwin grabbed seven rebounds. 


Deubrook Area 51, Elkton-Lake Benton 32

WHITE — Ellie Koenig and Carley Landmark combined to score 26 points to pace Deubrook Area to a girls basketball win over Elkton-Lake Benton on Thursday.

Koenig finished with 14 points and four 3-pointers, while Landmark added 12 points. Emma Vandermeer and Emma Sheffield finished with six points apiece.

ELB’s Tevan Erickson and Kylie Ramlo scored 10 points apiece. 


Brandon Valley 45, Spearfish 35

BRANDON — Class AA No. 4 Brandon Valley turned a two-point halftime deficit into a 10-point girls basketball win over Spearfish on Thursday. 

Hilary Behrens logged 17 points, while Sidney Thue netted 11 points. Tessa Bowar added seven points and Kylie Foss finished with five points.

Spearfish’s Mya Kocheten scored 11 points, while Sofie Guthmiller logged eight points. Jozie Dana scored seven points. 


Tea Area 57, Yankton 45

YANKTON — Tea Area pulled away from Yankton for a girls basketball win on Thursday.

Tea Area’s Katie Vasecka finished with a game-high 22 points. 

Yankton’s Claire Tereshinski scored 21 points, while Molly Savey added 10 points.

Parkston 69, Mount Vernon/Plankinton 50

MOUNT VERNON — Parkston pulled away from Mount Vernon/Plankinton for a boys basketball win on Thursday. 

Parkston’s Cole Prunty netted a game-high 29 points, while Max Scott scored 20 points. Kaleb Weber added 11 points. 

MVP’s Reed Rus finished with 21 points and 13 rebounds. Zach Baker added nine points and four rebounds. Jordan Stoltz and Blaine Bohr scored seven points, while Stoltz added five boards. 


Potter County 69, Ipswich 35

IPSWICH — Three players scored in double figures to power Class B No. 5 Potter County to a boys basketball win over Ipswich on Thursday. 

Cooper Logan paced the Battlers with 28 points, seven rebounds and four 3-pointers. Grant Luikens added 17 points, eight rebounds, six assists and three 3-pointers. Drake Bassett logged 13 points. Seth Sharp tallied eight points and six boards. 

Ipswich’s Trevor Heinz posted 10 points, while Trevor Beyers scored seven points. Ian Beyers scored six points, while Taylor Thorson added five points and six rebounds. 


Burke 68, Wagner 60 (OT)

BURKE — Burke outscored Wagner 13-5 in overtime to pick up a boys basketball win on Thursday.

Burke’s Bryce Frank poured in 28 points, while Reed Benter tallied 13 points and 10 rebounds. Ben Witt added nine points and five steals. Brogan Glover grabbed six boards.

Wagner’s Toby Zephier scored 19 points, while Dustin Honomichl added 17 points. 


Howard 67, Viborg-Hurley 41 

HOWARD — Howard built a 33-19 halftime lead en route to a boys basketball win over Viborg-Hurley on Thursday.

Kolt Koepsell led the Tigers with 16 points, while Luke Koepsell added 14 points. Jace Sifore finished with 11 points. Ryder Erickson and Will Maier scored seven and five points, respectively. 

VH’s Hayden Gilbert finished with 11 points. Blake Schroedermeier and Byron Osterloo added nine points apiece. Devin Sayler scored five points. 


Freeman Academy/Marion 65, Menno 38

MENNO — Thalen Schroeder logged his 1,000th career point as Freeman Academy/Marion picked up a boys basketball win over Menno on Thursday.

Schroeder led the Bearcats with a game-high 35 points. Quincy Blue scored 11 points. 

Menno’s Blake Rames finished with eight points and seven rebounds. Kadeyn Ulmer and Tyler Massey scored seven points apiece, while Massey added 12 boards. 


Hamlin 61, Florence/Henry 52

FLORENCE — Hamlin used a 16-2 second quarter to pull away from Florence/Henry in boys basketball action on Thursday.

Hamlin’s Brennan Keszler scored 18 points, while Evan Stormo added 15 points. Easton Neuendorf and Rylan Bawdon scored eight points. Tyson Stevenson scored six points. 

FH’s Tegan Sumner netted 18 points, while Peyton Roe scored 12 points. Mehki Keller scored seven points, Ethan Paulson had six points and Andrew Schroeder scored five points. 


Sioux Valley 67, Garretson 36

VOLGA — Class A No. 4 Sioux Valley used a 23-5 third quarter to pull away from Garretson in a boys basketball game on Thursday.

SV’s Oliver Vincent scored 19 points, while Parker Puetz tallied 14 points and four assists. Damian Danzeisen netted 13 points, while Alec Squires totaled eight points and 17 rebounds. Hayden Ruesink added seven points and eight rebounds.

Garretson’s Cooper Long scored 14 points, while Sam Schleuter tallied 11 points. Rhett Kloth added seven points and 11 rebounds.


Aberdeen Christian 66, Aberdeen Roncalli 33

ABERDEEN — Class B No. 3 Aberdeen Christian picked up a 33-point boys basketball win over Aberdeen Roncalli on Thursday.

Malek Wieker netted 19 points, while Ethan Russell and Caden Clark scored eight points apiece. Jackson Isakson, Andrew Brennan and Abe Holscher scored six points apiece. 

Roncalli’s Maddox May tossed in 10 points, while Keegan Stewart added nine points. 


Dakota Valley 71, Sioux City East, Iowa 53

NORTH SIOUX CITY — Three players scored in double figures to lift Dakota Valley to a boys basketball win over Sioux City East, Iowa, on Thursday.

Jaxson Wingert finished with 20 points and five rebounds. Randy Rosenquist added 15 points and seven assists. Isaac Bruns logged 14 points, nine rebounds and five assists. Jaxon Hennies and Brayden Major scored nine and eight points, respectively. Sam Faldmo scored five points. 

Sioux City East’s Kelynn Jacobsen and Preston Dobbs scored 10 points apiece. 


Britton-Hecla 42, Langford Area 34

BRITTON — Britton-Hecla earned a boys basketball win over Langford Area on Thursday.

The Braves were led by Landon Carlson with 13 points, while Aidan Fredrickson scored 11 points. Dawson Treeby added eight points.

Langford Area was led by Brayden Peterson with 14 points, while Jesse Keough scored 10 points.


Redfield 70, Webster Area 50

REDFIELD — Redfield used a 30-13 fourth quarter to pull away from Webster Area in a boys basketball game on Thursday.

Mitchell Mack led the Pheasants with 23 points and eight rebounds, while Peyton Osborn poured in 16 points and four three-pointers. Nolan Gall scored 11 points, while Jerron Haider tallied nine points. Justin Ratigan added six points and 11 rebounds.

Webster Area’s Jaydon Keller scored 16 points and 10 rebounds, while Kaden Stoks and Jacob Pereboom added eight and seven points, respectively.


Tiospa Zina 68, Milbank 54

MILBANK — Tiospa Zina pulled away from Milbank for a boys basketball win on Thursday. 

Reondre Greeley finished with 19 points, five rebounds and four 3-pointers. Perry Lufkins logged 15 points, while Jayvyn Adams scored 11 points and dished out four assists. Tate Never Misses a Shot, Mike Smith and Storm Sierra scored seven points apiece. Never Misses a Shot added six rebounds. 

Milbank’s Bennett Schwenn scored 18 points, while Stevie Ash logged 14 points. Garrett Mertens logged 13 points and Wylie Mursu scored five points. 


Kimball/White Lake 64, Andes Central/Dakota Christian 60

NEW HOLLAND — Kimball/White Lake pulled away from Andes Central/Dakota Christian for a boys basketball win on Thursday. 

Ryder Michalek scored a game-high 28 points, while Jaxson Pursell scored 11 points. Dawson Miller and Porter Miller scored 10 and six points, respectively. 

ACDC’s Cameron Sybesma finished with 24 points and 13 rebounds. Rizon Clark added 19 points, while Garth Maas had 11 points. Nolan Black Cloud scored six points. 


Deubrook Area 58, Elkton-Lake Benton 54

WHITE — Three players scored in double figures as Deubrook Area outlasted Elkton-Lake Benton for a boys basketball win on Thursday.

Nick Bowne led the Dolphins with 19 points, while Sutton Fritz scored 15 points. Andrew Trooien logged 13 points. Mason Shaw added five points.

ELB’s Miles Harming recorded 19 points and Ryan Krog finished with 17 points. Isaac Jaacks scored eight points and Logan Kuehl scored five points. 


Wolsey-Wessington 67, Hitchcock-Tulare 23

TULARE — Three players scored in double figures to pace Wolsey-Wessington to a boys basketball win over Hitchcock-Tulare on Thursday.

Marrien Gohn led the Warbirds with 19 points, while Carson Zomer and Payson Gohn scored 10 points apiece. Blaze Herdman scored eight points.

HT’s T.J. Salmen scored six points. 


Tea Area 55, Yankton 53

YANKTON — Tea Area edged Yankton for a boys basketball win on Thursday.

Cael Lundin led the Titans with 17 points. 

Yankton’s Jaden Kral finished with 13 points, while Cody Oswald scored 11 points. 


Harrisburg 70, Sioux Falls Christian 64

HARRISBURG — Harrisburg outlasted Sioux Falls Christian in a boys basketball game on Thursday.

The Tigers were led by Ethan Determan with 27 points. Jacoby Mehrman added 24 points.

SFC’s Ethan Bruns scored 22 points, while Nathan Koole tallied 14 points and Brooks Nelson added 12 points.
