Sioux Falls Roosevelt 55, Mitchell 54

SIOUX FALLS — Class AA No. 1 Sioux Falls Roosevelt edged Class AA No. 3 Mitchell in a boys basketball game on Friday.

Marcus Phillips scored 21 points, while Micah Johnson tallied 11 points. Thoralingo Gilo and Hayden Brown each added five points.

Mitchell’s Caden Hinker scored 15 points, while Steele Morgan tallied 10 points. Dylan Soulek added nine points.

Mount Vernon/Plankinton 63, Chamberlain 38

PLANKINTON — Reed Rus scored 22 points and recorded his 1,000th career point as Mount Vernon/Plankinton picked up a boys basketball win over Chamberlain on Friday. 

Rus added five rebounds, four assists and three steals. Zach Baker tossed in 15 points and hit three 3-pointers. Mason Hetland added 10 points, while Jordan Stoltz had six points and six rebounds. 

Chamberlain’s Jeren Herron scored 10 points.

Potter County 72, Sully Buttes 57

GETTYSBURG — Grant Luikens and Drake Bassett combined for 50 points as Class B No. 5 Potter County picked up a boys basketball win over Sully Buttes on Friday.

Luikens powered the Battlers with 30 points and 10 rebounds, while Bassett added 20 points. Cooper Logan recorded 10 points, nine rebounds, five assists and four steals. Seth Sharp collected six rebounds and scored four points.

Sully Buttes’ Marshall Wittler scored 16 points and hit four 3-pointers. Thomas Farries logged 14 points and five rebounds, while Dwight Kinney had 13 points and six rebounds. Jesse Schall logged five points and nine rebounds. 


Andes Central/Dakota Christian 68, Colome 56

NEW HOLLAND — Four players scored in double figures to lift Andes Central/Dakota Christian to a boys basketball win over Colome on Friday. 

Rizon Clark finished with 21 points and five steals. Cameron Sybesma added 19 points and 14 boards, while Julius Bruguier had 11 points and nine rebounds. Nolan Black Cloud scored 11 points. 

Colome’s Joseph Laprath finished with 17 points. Eli Vobr posted 12 points, while Kash Heath had 10 points and seven rebounds. Alec Thieman logged five rebounds. 


Tiospa Zina 55, Deuel 51

AGENCY VILLAGE — Tiospa Zina edged Deuel in a boys basketball game on Friday.

Jasiah Red Bear scored 14 points, while Juron Adams recorded 13 points. Reondre Greeley tallied 12 points, while Perry Lufkins added nine points.

For Deuel, Cooper Schiernbeck totaled 16 points, while Carter Leddy added 12 points. 


Tri-State, N.D. 60, Waverly-South Shore 55

WAVERLY — Tri-State, N.D. edged Waverly-South Shore in a boys basketball game on Friday.

Tri-State’s Jacob Lick scored 15 points, while Jakobe Anderson and Lewis Ceroll each recorded 12 points. Isaiah Rydell tallied nine points and Kaleb Foltz added eight points.

For WSS, Troy Kneeland scored 19 points, while Cooper Schmit added 12 points.  


Langford Area 52, Redfield 35

LANGFORD — Langford Area picked up a boys basketball win over Redfield on Friday.

Brayden Peterson and Jesse Keough each scored 14 points, while Ben Gustafson tallied nine points. Jackson Bahr and Kassen Keough added six points apiece.

For Redfield, Mitchell Mack scored 15 points and 10 rebounds, while Nolan Gall and Peyton Osborn each added six points.


Bridgewater-Emery 57, Gayville-Volin 42 

EMERY — Sutton Arend’s double-double helped Bridgewater-Emery pick up a boys basketball win over Gayville-Volin on Friday.

Arend finished with 18 points and 12 rebounds, while Sam Hofer added 17 points. Aguer VanSickle scored 13 points. 


Hitchcock-Tulare 64, Sunshine Bible Academy 39

MILLER — Hitchcock-Tulare raced past Sunshine Bible Academy in a boys basketball game on Friday.

Jackson Maynard scored 16 points, while T.J. Salmen recorded 11 points and 10 rebounds. Zach Gilbert added nine points.

For SBA, Nolan Triebwasser scored 22 points and five steals.


Aberdeen Central 56, Harrisburg 51

ABERDEEN — Three players scored in double figures to lift Aberdeen Central to a boys basketball win over Harrisburg on Friday. 

A.J. Hase led the Golden Eagles with 20 points, while Alec Voegele added 15 points and 11 rebounds. Jackson Dorsett finished with 12 points. Sam Rohlfs logged nine rebounds and four assists. Brady Rohrbach had six rebounds and four points.

Harrisburg’s Ethan Determan finished with 15 points and four rebounds. Jacob Mehrman posted 10 points and six rebounds. Gavin Aasheim logged eight points, while Andrew Walter had five points and four rebounds. Maxwell Knutson posted six boards. 


Pierre 61, Yankton 55

PIERRE — Pierre outlasted Yankton for a boys basketball victory on Friday.

Lincoln Kienholz led the Governors with 33 points, while Christian Busch scored 10 points.

Yankton’s Rugby Ryken added 10 points.


Sioux Falls O’Gorman 56, Rapid City Stevens 53

RAPID CITY — Class AA No. 2 Sioux Falls O’Gorman edged Rapid City Stevens in a boys basketball game on Friday.

Matthew Eng netted 20 points, while David Alpers III scored 14 points and 10 rebounds. John Costello grabbed eight boards.

Rapid City Stevens was led by Nate Kindred with 25 points and eight rebounds, while Charles Christensen added 10 points and six rebounds.


Sioux Falls Washington 68, Watertown 64

SIOUX FALLS — Mikele Kambalo’s big performance helped Sioux Falls Washington edge Watertown in a boys basketball game on Friday.

Kambalo finished with 37 points, while Tommy Peterson scored 10 points and six boards. Joe Uttecht added eight points, six rebounds, and three assists.

Watertown’s Drew Norberg scored 28 points and six rebounds, while Reese Stark tallied 14 points. Devon Lewis added nine points and Cole Holden grabbed eight boards.


Girls Basketball

Parkston 56, Gregory 44

PARKSTON — Four players scored in double-figures as Parkston pulled away from Gregory in a girls basketball game on Friday.

Allison Ziebart scored 16 points and 13 rebounds, while Abby Hohn tallied 12 points, five rebounds, and two assists. Gracie Oakley recorded 11 points and four assists, while Faith Oakley added 10 points and four boards.

For Gregory, Cassidy Keizer scored 17 points and five boards, while Brooklyn Kenzy and Jessy Jo VanDerWerff recorded nine and six points, respectively.


Sully Buttes 61, Potter County 34

GETTYSBURG — Lydia Hill and Stevie Wittler combined for 40 points to pace Sully Buttes to a girls basketball win over Potter County on Friday. 

Hill led the Chargers with 28 points and 11 rebounds, while Wittler scored 12 points. Addison Chicoine finished with eight points and five rebounds. Tailynn Bradford and Caitlin Birney scored five points apiece. 

Potter County’s Ashle Kaup and Tyler Simon scored 12 points apiece. Kayden Cronin grabbed 10 boards, while Zoe Meinke had five rebounds. 


Andes Central/Dakota Christian 73, Colome 22

NEW HOLLAND — Andes Central/Dakota Christian jumped out to a 23-2 first quarter lead en route to a girls basketball win over Colome on Friday. 

Josie Brouwer led the way with 20 points and seven steals. Allison Muckey added 12 points and six steals. Lexie VanderPol posted nine points and four rebounds. Halle Olson had seven points and five rebounds. Isabella Brouwer dished out five assists. 

Colome’s Toree Ringing Shield and Maura Luedke scored 10 points apiece. Ringing Shield added four rebounds and Luedke had four steals. 


Viborg-Hurley 50, Freeman Academy/Marion 13

FREEMAN — Viborg-Hurley raced past Freeman Academy/Marion in a girls basketball game on Friday.

Coral Mason stuffed the stat sheet with 24 points, nine rebounds, four assists, and five steals. Denae Mach tallied eight points, five rebounds, four assists, and four blocks, while Charley Nelson recorded eight points, three rebounds, and three assists. Delana Mach added seven points, three rebounds, two assists, and four steals.

No stats were reported for Freeman Academy/Marion.

 

Mount Vernon/Plankinton 51, Chamberlain 35

PLANKINTON — Mount Vernon/Plankinton pulled away from Chamberlain for a girls basketball win on Friday.

MVP’s Maria Baker finished with 14 points, while Reagan Rus added 13 points. Cally Faulhaber added nine points and Shyla Tobin scored eight points. Emilee Fox had five points.

Chamberlain’s Mya Knippling scored 13 points and Jayslee Petersen tossed in eight points.


West Central 66, Madison 19

MADISON — Class A No. 2 West Central used a 25-2 first quarter to cruise past Madison for a girls basketball win on Friday.

Addy Kramer scored 15 points and nine rebounds, while Tabor Teel recorded 14 points and five assists. Rylee Haldeman tallied nine points.

Madison’s Karley Lurz scored six points.


Flandreau 67, Sioux Valley 54

FLANDREAU — Class A No. 3 Flandreau pulled away from Sioux Valley in a girls basketball game on Friday.

Lizzie Pavlis scored 21 points, while Claire Sheppard tallied 14 points and Maria Parsley added 13 points.

Sioux Valley’s Ashley Bjerke scored 17 points, while Julia Schneider and Reagan Johnson added 11 points apiece.


Arlington 47, Deubrook Area 45

WHITE — Arlington edged Deubrook Area in a girls basketball game on Friday.

Hadley Carlson scored 14 points, while Addie Steffensen tallied 10 points. Harley Johnson and Elli Vincent each recorded seven points.

Deubrook Area’s Brooke Koppatschek scored 13 points, while Carley Landmark tallied nine points and Emma Vandermeer added seven points.


Hitchcock-Tulare 56, Sunshine Bible Academy 26

MILLER — Hitchcock-Tulare used a 24-4 first quarter to pull away from Sunshine Bible Academy in a girls basketball game on Friday.

Katelyn Schroeder totaled 23 points, nine rebounds, and three assists, while Cambree Hoekman scored 10 points, six rebounds, and four assists.

For SBA, Jakki Burma scored eight points and eight rebounds, while Lydia Lo added six points.


Britton-Hecla 43, Milbank 37

BRITTON — Britton-Hecla picked up a girls basketball win over Milbank on Friday.

Goiuri Sarria scored 13 points, while Jenna Werner tallied nine points. Sterling Brassfield added six points.

For Milbank, Maurina Street poured in a game-high 20 points, while Isabella Anderson added 10 points.


Great Plains Lutheran 49, Wilmot 39

WATERTOWN — Three players scored in double-figures as Great Plains Lutheran picked up a girls basketball win over Wilmot on Friday.

Mali York and Kimberly Goens each scored 12 points, while Halle Bauer tallied 10 points. Bryn Holmen and Madeline Prahl grabbed 12 and 11 rebounds, respectively.

Wilmot’s Madeline Remund Scored 21 points.


Sioux Falls O’Gorman 50, Rapid City Stevens 36

RAPID CITY — Hannah Ronsiek’s double-double propelled Class AA No. 1 Sioux Falls O’Gorman to a girls basketball win over Class AA No. 4 Rapid City Stevens on Friday.

Ronsiek finished with 25 points and 10 rebounds, while Mahli Abdouch added eight points.

For Rapid City Stevens, Bailee Sobczak scored eight points, while Jilian Delzer and Macey Wathen added seven points apiece.


Harrisburg 40, Aberdeen Central 38 (OT)

HARRISBURG — Harrisburg edged Aberdeen Central in overtime to win a girls basketball game on Friday.

Emilee Boyer scored 14 points, while Jayley Hofer tallied 12 points.

Aberdeen Central’s Kyra Griese scored 17 points.
