Bridgewater-Emery 46, Scotland 45

EMERY — Sutton Arend’s game-winning layup as time expired lifted Bridgewater-Emery to a boys basketball win over Scotland on Monday.

Arend led the Huskies with 25 points and nine boards. 


De Smet 77, Castlewood 34

DE SMET — Class B No. 1 De Smet drilled 13 pointers en route to a boys basketball win over Castlewood on Monday.

Rett Osthus, Kadyn Fast and Tory Holland each hit three 3-pointers apiece. Kalen Garry added two triples, while Tom Aughenbaugh and George Jensen each hit a 3-pointer. 

Damon Wilkinson led the Bulldogs with 20 points and 16 boards. Fast finished with 13 points. Osthus recorded an 11-point, 10 assist double-double. Garry added 10 points, four rebounds and four assists. Jensen finished with nine points, while Holland added nine boards. 

Castlewood’s Tristan Nielsen recorded 11 points and hit three 3-pointers. Bryan Laue had six points and eight rebounds, while Jackson Schofield finished with six points and six boards. Booker Schooley added six rebounds. 


Howard 61, Menno 26

HOWARD — Four players scored in double figures to power Howard to a boys basketball win over Menno on Monday. 

Jace Sifore led the Tigers with 16 points, while Brayden Hinker added 11 points. Kolt Koepsell finished with 11 points and Luke Koepsell netted 10 points. Taiden Hoyer had seven points.

Menno’s Blake Rames finished with 12 points, while Tyler Massey added eight points. 


White River 95, Bennett County 52

WHITE RIVER — Joe Sayler, Dylan Marshall and Nic Marshall powered Class B No. 2 White River to a boys basketball win over Bennett County on Monday.

Sayler led the Tigers with 34 points, nine rebounds and nine assists. Dylan Marshall added 21 points, nine assists and eight boards. Nic Marshall logged 18 points and four assists. 


Langford Area 55, Sully Buttes 23

LANGFORD — Brayden Peterson and Jesse Keough combined for 34 points to power Langford Area to a boys basketball win over Sully Buttes on Monday. 

Peterson finished with 19 points, while Keough added 15 points and nine rebounds. Ben Gustafson had seven points. 

Sully Buttes’ Marshall Wittler scored six points, while Thomas Farries and Wesley Wittler scored five points apiece. 


Mobridge-Pollock 61, McLaughlin 53

MOBRIDGE — Mobridge-Pollock outlasted McLaughlin for a boys basketball win on Monday. 

Ashton Pfitzer powered the Tigers with 20 points, 15 rebounds and four 3-pointers. Jackson Eisemann added 13 points, while Brady Bauer and Trent Schmeichel had nine points apiece. Thane Beheler added seven points and 10 boards.

McLaughlin’s Elias Sims recorded 23 points, five rebounds and four 3-pointers. Dre Antelope had 20 points and hit five 3-pointers. Levyn White Bull added six points. 


Mitchell Christian 66, Sunshine Bible Academy 33

MILLER — MItchell Christian used a 23-8 first quarter to race past Sunshine Bible Academy in a boys basketball game on Monday.

Aiden Lieber led with 20 points, seven rebounds, and four assists, while Micah Frey scored 16 points. Joseph Tegethoff tallied 10 points, five boards, and six steals, while George Imuro added eight points.

SBA’s Nolan Triebwasser scored 17 points, while Daniel Gerbracht added 13 points.


Baltic 85, Colman-Egan 50

COLMAN — Four players scored in double figures as Baltic cruised past Colman-Egan in a boys basketball game on Monday.

Jack Erickson finished with a game-high 27 points to lead the Bulldogs. Mark Ditter recorded 20 points and five rebounds, while Corbin Wirkus tallied 11 points and six rebounds. Tayden Hansen scored 10 points, while James Leffring added seven points, six rebounds, and five assists.

CE’s Logan Voelker scored 14 points, while Levi Baumberger and Jack Mousel recorded 11 and nine points, respectively.


Girls basketball 

Flandreau 75, Madison 39

FLANDREAU — Three players scored in double figures to lift Class A No. 3 Flandreau to a girls basketball win over Madison on Monday. 

Bella Pavlis led the way with 15 points, while Maria Parsley added 14 points and six rebounds. Claire Sheppard recorded 13 points and nine boards. 

Madison’s Audrey Nelson scored 11 points and Zoey Gerry had eight points. 


Aberdeen Roncalli 50, Groton Area 24

GROTON — Three players scored in double figures to lift Class B No. 1 Aberdeen Roncalli to a girls basketball win over Groton Area on Monday.

Madelyn Bragg led the Cavaliers with 25 points, while Morgan Fiedler finished with 11 points. Olivia Hanson added 10 points.

Groton Area’s Gracie Traphagen scored eight points, while Alyssa Thaler added seven points. 


Howard 55, Menno 35

HOWARD — Abby Aslesen and Trinity Palmquist combined for 36 points as Howard cruised past Menno for a girls basketball win on Monday.

Aslesen finished with 21 points, while Palmquist added 15 points, 10 rebounds, seven steals and four assists. Kate Connor and Jayden Janes scored six points apiece. Connor added five rebounds and four assists. Rylee Rudebusch scored five points. 

Menno’s Paityn Huber scored 15 points, while Abby Bender added five points. 


Wolsey-Wessington 48, Lake Preston 13

LAKE PRESTON — Wolsey-Wessington jumped out to a 17-2 first-quarter lead and picked up a girls basketball win over Lake Preston on Monday. 

Mya Boomsma led the Warbirds with 20 points, while Leah Williams scored nine points. 

Lake Preston’s Ava Malone scored four points. 


Elkton-Lake Benton 40, Canistota 35

ELKTON — Elkton-Lake Benton edged Canistota in a girls basketball game on Monday.

Tevan Erickson finished with 11 points and four steals, while Rachael Krog tallied 10 points. Kylie Ramlo recorded seven points and six rebounds, while Emily Robbins grabbed five boards.

Canistota’s Kayla Papendick scored a game-high 17 points and nine rebounds. Ellie Becker tallied eight points and Natalie Becker added seven points and four steals.


Colman-Egan 49, Baltic 44

COLMAN — Colman-Egan used a 17-10 fourth quarter to pick up a girls basketball win over Baltic on Monday. 

Mackenzie Hemmer finished with 15 points, while Brynlee Landis added 10 points and eight rebounds. Ava Mousel finished with eight points, while Lanie Mousel had seven points, four rebounds and four steals. Hailey Larson logged six points, four steals and four rebounds. 

Baltic’s Berklee Erickson, Cami Artz and Baylee Breece finished with eight points apiece. Makenzie Allen finished with six points. Sam Polzin logged four points, five steals and 11 rebounds.


Mitchell Christian 50, Sunshine Bible Academy 31

MILLER — Three players scored in double figures as Mitchell Christian raced past Sunshine Bible Academy for a girls basketball win on Monday.

Audrey Hofer led with a game-high 21 points, 12 rebounds, three assists and three steals, while Keely O’Neill tallied 12 points, five rebounds, and five steals. Jasmyne Lessman totaled 11 points and Rebekah Strong recorded six steals and four assists.

For SBA, Jakki Burma scored eight points and 12 rebounds. Aja Paul and Betra Amare added six points apiece.
