Howard 63, Canistota 50

CANISTOTA — Three players scored in double figures to pace Howard to a boys basketball win over Canistota on Tuesday. The Tigers used a 15-7 fourth quarter to secure the win. 

Howard’s Luke Koepsell posted 19 points, while Colby Claussen added 12 points, five assists and three 3-pointers. Carson Hinker added 10 points. Logan Mentele had nine points, while Taiden Hoyer posted seven points. Kolt Koepsell had six points, seven rebounds and four assists.

Canistota’s Tage Ortman finished with 17 points, six assists, four steals, four rebounds and three 3-pointers. Jaden Kleinsasser added 10 points, six assists and five rebounds. Levi Schroeder and Brady Scott scored nine points apiece. Scott added five rebounds and four assists. Brandon Kjetland had five points and seven rebounds. 


Colman-Egan 83, Mitchell Christian 68

COLMAN — Four players scored in double-figures as Colman-Egan ran past Mitchell Christian in boys basketball action Tuesday. 

Jackson Zwart led the Hawks with 25 points, 12 rebounds and three assists. Jase Mousel had 20 points and six assists while Jack Mousel had 13 rebounds, two assists and two steals. Taylor Kriech added 14 points and five rebounds. 

Aiden Lieber led Mitchell Christian with 50 points, seven rebounds, three assists and four steals. 

Luke Mentele added 12 points for Mitchell Christian. 


James Valley Christian 63, Sanborn Central/Woonsocket 61

WOONSOCKET — Three players scored in double-figures as James Valley Christian held off Sanborn Central/Woonsocket in boys basketball action Tuesday. 

Isaac Korell paced James Valley Christian with 23 points. Jerrard Wallman added 19 points and Dax Frandsen chipped in with 11 points. 

Jeff Boschee led Sanborn Central/Woonsocket with 25 points. Payton Eucker made four 3-pointers and finished with 12 points. Bryce Larson chipped in with ten points. 


Dakota Valley 101, Sioux City West, Iowa, 68

NORTH SIOUX CITY — A balanced scoring attack helped Dakota Valley roll past Sioux City West in boys basketball action Tuesday. 

Jaxson Wingert led Dakota Valley with 29 points and nine rebounds. Logan Collette added 15 points, four rebounds, four assists and three steals. Luke Bruns finished with 14 points and Charlie Margeas had 10 points, four rebounds and five assists. 

Stats for Sioux City West were not reported.


Stanley County 62, Mobridge-Pollock 59 

MOBRIDGE — Paxton Deal’s 3-pointers with 2 seconds left lifted Stanley County to a boys basketball win on Tuesday.

Broch Zeeb led the Buffaloes with 27 points and 11 rebounds. Deal added 15 points, six rebounds and four assists. Eddie Duffy logged 11 points. Brendon Bothwell had six points.

Mobridge-Pollock’s Jackson Eisemann finished with 16 points and four steals. Shane Henderson scored 15 points and grabbed seven rebounds. Michael Wald had 12 points and four assists. Easton Eisemann scored eight points and Simon Fried added six points. 


Vermillion 71, Wagner 51

WAGNER — Four players scored in double figures to pace Vermillion to a boys basketball win on Tuesday.

Vermillion’s Carter Hansen finished with 19 points. Bryson Skogsberg and Zoan Robinson scored 13 points apiece. Trey Hansen scored 12 points on four 3-pointers. Connor Roerig scored six points.

Wagner’s Parker Petry scored 17 points. Jesse Zephier recorded 12 points, while Preston McFayden had eight points. Jarian Pesicka added seven points. 


Flandreau, 62 Baltic 52

FLANDREAU — Luke Sheppard and Kaden Burshiem combined for 34 points as Flandreau held off Baltic for a boys basketball win on Tuesday.

Sheppard finished with 22 points and 10 rebounds, while Burshiem had 12 points.

Baltic’s Trevor Cuperus scored 11 points and Jack Erickson added 10 points. 


Sioux Valley 48, Castlewood 41

CASTLEWOOD — Class A No. 5 Sioux Valley clipped Class B No. 1 Castlewood for a boys basketball win on Tuesday.

Sioux Valley’s Jace Christensen and Maverick Nelson finished with 13 points apiece. Maxwell Engebretson scored 12 points. Alec Squires had eight points.

Castlewood’s Bryon Laue had 10 points. Quincy Thu and Lane Tvedt posted eight points apiece. Jamison Keszler added seven points and Brody Bass scored five points. 


Chester 59, Arlington 41

ARLINGTON — Three players scored in double figures to pace Chester to a boys basketball win on Tuesday.

Chester’s Jovi Wolf finished with 21 points and seven rebounds. Layke Wold added 20 points, eight steals and five rebounds. Jaxton Opdahl scored 10 points. 

Arlington’s Paxton Rheault had 16 points and 10 rebounds. Tommy Bacon posted five points. Blake Madsen added six rebounds. 


Viborg-Hurley 75, Menno 22

MENNO — Three players reached double-figures as VIborg-Hurley ran past Menno in boys basketball action Tuesday. 

Nick Hanson powered the Cougars with 22 points and eight rebounds. Nolan Kolthoff finished with 16 points, 10 rebounds and five assists. Owen Niederbaumer added 13 points, three rebounds and two blocked shots for Menno. 

Izayah Ulmer led Menno with 10 points and seven rebounds. Bryce Sattler added nine points and two rebounds for the Wolves. 


Hanson 62, Chamberlain 45

HANSON — Three players scored in double-figures as Hanson knocked off Chamberlain in boys basketball action Tuesday. 

Jayce Slaba led Hanson with 17 points, six assists and six rebounds. AJ Wilber led in scoring with 19 points and also grabbed six rebounds. Isayah Price chipped in with 11 points. 

Kenyon McCloskey led Chamberlain with 18 points while Dakota Munger added 17 points

 

Rapid City Central 53, Douglas 45

RAPID CITY — Three players scored in double figures to pace Rapid City Central to a boys basketball win on Tuesday. 

Central’s Isaiah Whiting logged 18 points, five steals, four rebounds and four assists. Colton Carlson logged 12 points and seven rebounds. Ryan Wetch posted 10 points and seven rebounds. Jet Janvrin added seven points and six assists. 

Douglas’ Caden Walters scored 13 points, had four rebounds and hit three 3-pointers. Isaiah Brewer posted 10 points. Aven Stafford scored nine points and grabbed nine rebounds. Gabriel Tapia posted six points and four rebounds. Jason Fisher added three points and eight rebounds.
