Stanley County 63, Lyman 49

FORT PIERRE — Broch Zeeb and Paxton Deal powered Stanley County to a boys basketball win on Monday.

Zeeb finished with 24 points, while Deal pumped in 22 points and hit five 3-pointers. Eddie Duffy added five points.

Lyman’s Dawsen Volmer logged 14 points. Aksel Ehlers had 12 points. Jonas Zirpel and M.J. Diehm scored seven and six points, respectively. 


Canistota 58, Hanson 53

ALEXANDRIA — Canistota clipped Hanson for a boys basketball win on Monday.

Canistota’s Tage Ortman finished with 22 points, while Brandon Kjetland had 15 points and six rebounds. Brady Scott added nine points.

Hanson’s Jayce Slaba logged 29 points, seven rebounds and four assists. Isayah Price posted eight points and seven rebounds. Ben Wilber scored eight points. 


Winner 69, Crow Creek 51

WINNER — Shawn Hammerbeck powered Winner to a boys basketball win on Monday.

Hammerbeck logged 30 points and 12 rebounds for the Warriors. Aiden Barfuss posted 14 points, seven assists and five rebounds. Carter Craven had 11 points and 10 boards. 

Crow Creek’s Lance Wind Jr., scored 15 points, while Josiah Kirkie posted 12 points. 


St. Thomas More 49, Rapid City Central 23

RAPID CITY — St. Thomas More pulled away from Rapid City Central for a boys basketball win on Monday.

STM’s Lee Neugebauer posted 18 points and seven rebounds. Turner Thompson added eight points, while Chase Donnelly had six points. 

Rapid City Central’s Junior Allen scored six points. Isaiah Whiting posted five points. 

 

Corsica-Stickney 43, Parkston 36

PARKSTON — Corsica-Stickney pulled away from Parkston for  a boys basketball win on Monday.

Corsica-Stickney logged 20 points and 15 boards. Carter Wright added 12 points. 

Parkston’s Payton Koehn had 10 points and six rebounds. Will Jodozi scored nine points and Brycen Bruening added eight points. Brayden Jervik had six rebounds.


Viborg-Hurley 76, Gayville-Volin 54

VIBORG — Nick Hanson powered Viborg-Hurley to a boys basketball win on Monday.

Hanson finished with 39 points and seven rebounds. Nolan Kolthoff added 15 points, 13 rebounds and seven assists. Brady Schroedermeier posted nine points, while Devin Sayler logged six points. 

GV’s Spencer Karstens scored 24 points, while Will Pirak had 12 points. 


McCook Central/Montrose 55, Mount Vernon/Plankinton 52

MOUNT VERNON — McCook Central/Montrose edged Mount Vernon/Plankinton for a boys basketball win on Monday.

MVP’s Zach Baker logged 23 points and seven rebounds. Tyce Feistner added 16 points, five rebounds and four assists. Brady Fox had five points.

MCM stats were not reported. 


Canton 74, Vermillion 70 

CANTON — Three players scored in double figures to pace Canton to a boys basketball win on Monday.

Canton’s Matt Anderson scored 19 points, grabbed six rebounds and dished out four assists. Ryan Kuper logged 18 points on five 3-pointers. Braxton Mulder had 15 points and 11 boards. 

Vermillion’s Bryson Skogsberg finished with 28 points, five 3-pointers and four rebounds. Trey Hansen had 16 points, nine rebounds and five assists. Zoan Robinson logged 10 points and five rebounds. Carter Hansen recorded nine points and seven rebounds. 


Dell Rapids St. Mary 74, Pipestone Area, Minn., 68 

DELL RAPIDS — Three players scored in double figures to pick up a boys basketball win on Monday.

Dell Rapids St. Mary’s Trevon Beckman netted a game-high 34 points. Maverick LeBrun posted 22 points and Nic Gaspar had 10 points. 


Beresford 54, Wagner 50

BERESFORD — Four players scored in double figures as Beresford picked up a boys basketball win on Monday.

Andrew Atwood had 13 points. Aidan Hamm and Seth James scored 11 points apiece. Malachi James posted 10 points.

Wagner’s Brady Cournoyer and Preston McFayden scored nine points apiece. 


Milbank 65, Madison 58 

MADISON — Three players scored in double figures to power Milbank to a boys basketball win over Madison on Monday.

Joe Schulte logged 28 points on 12 of 18 shooting from the field. Jaxson Wildung added 13 points and seven rebounds. Garrett Mertens scored 10 points. Graham Lightfield finished with nine points.

Madison’s Ben Brooks finished with a team-high 22 points, while Charles Callahan scored 21 points. Eli Barger had six points. 


Girls Roundup 

Ipswich 44, Sunshine Bible Academy 32

IPSWICH — Ipswich pulled away from Sunshine Bible Academy for a Region 6B girls basketball win on Monday.

Ipswich’s Marley Guthmiller finished with 12 points and nine rebounds. Gabby Wald added 11 points. Tristan Geditz logged six points, nine rebounds and five assists. 

SBA’s Betra Amare had 10 points and six rebounds. Breanna Thieman logged nine points, while Annaliese Van Zee recorded eight rebounds. 

 

Platte-Geddes 48, Kimball/White Lake 45

WHITE LAKE — Platte-Geddes clipped White Lake for a Region 5A girls basketball win on Monday.

Platte-Geddes’ Cadence Van Zee logged 18 points, Taylor Schrank posted eight points. Kori VanDerWerff added seven points.

KWL’s Harley Namanny scored 21 points. Ryann Nielsen added 16 points and 11 rebounds.

Freeman Academy/Marion 31, Scotland 23

SCOTLAND — Estelle Waltner and Alexa Gortmaker paced Freeman Academy/Marion to a Region 4B girls basketball win on Monday.

Waltner logged 16 points, eight steals and six rebounds. Gortmaker posted 14 points, four rebounds and three steals.

Scotland’s Kailin Odens had three blocked shots, eight points and nine rebounds. Emily Dvorak posted eight points and 15 rebounds. Trinity Bietz had 11 rebounds and three steals.
