Four South Dakotans in top 10 in respective events following first go round at National High School Rodeo Finals

ROCK SPRINGS, WYO. — Brooke Diedrichs, of Wall, took first place in the barrel races with a 17.158 in the first go-rounds at the National High School Rodeo Association finals that started on Sunday.

Also in the top ten following the first go-rounds are Talon Ping, of Highmore, in the bareback riding with an 80-point score. Keylee Zancanella, of Aurora, sits sixth in the pole bending with a 20.351 while Minda Woodward, of Dupree, is 10th in the barrel racing with a 17.549.

The second go-round continues through Saturday morning with the final short-go round scheduled for 7 p.m. on Saturday night.
