Harrisburg edges O'Gorman to earn Mitchell Invitational team title

MITCHELL — Harrisburg edged Sioux Falls O’Gorman to earn the team championship at Friday’s Mitchell Invitational. 

The Tigers carded a 7-over-par, while the Knights were just one stroke behind. Pierre (+12), Mitchell (+17) and Brandon Valley (+21) rounded out the top-five teams.

Individually, Sioux Falls O’Gorman’s Mac Drake shot a 2-under-par 70 to win the tournament. Drake’s round included a 33 on the front nine and four total birdies on the day. 


Harrisburg’s Riley Christensen and Pierre’s Nick Bothun both shot 71s and tied for second place. 

Aberdeen Central’s Cole Brust (72) finished in fourth place, while Harrisburg’s Charlie Swift and Hayden Scott tied for fifth place with 73s.
