SIOUX FALLS — Harrisburg’s Brianna Reilly and Brandon Valley’s Mikah Peters took individual titles Thursday at the Metro Conference championships at Yankton Trail Park.

Reilly won the individual title with a final time of 17:10.10, ahead of teammate Hannah Genrich (18:15.70) in second place. Sioux Falls Lincoln’s Mia Kadi took third place with a time of 19:24.50, Harrisburg’s Eloise Scharnberg (19:35.40) came in fourth place while BV’s Peyton Beatch (19:42.80) notched a fifth place finish in the girls race.

In the boys race, Peters finished with a time of 15:17.70, ahead of Sioux Falls Lincoln’s Miles Lechtenberg (15:27.90) and Tyrus Needles (15:39.50). Sioux Falls Roosevelt’s Blake Maas (15:53.50) and Sioux Falls Lincoln’s Arvid Nelsen (16:05.30) rounded out the top-5 individual runners.

In the team races, Harrisburg dominated with 29 total points, ahead of Sioux Falls Lincoln (58) and Brandon Valley (75). The Lincoln boys claimed gold with 30 total points, ahead of Brandon Valley (70) and Sioux Falls Washington (72).
