Girls basketball

Corsica-Stickney 71, Bridgewater-Emery 55

CORSICA — Four players scored in double figures to power Class B No. 2 Corsica-Stickney to a girls basketball win over Bridgewater-Emery on Monday. 

Payton DeLange led the Jaguars with 20 points, while Casey Tolsma added 16 points. Avery Broughton stuffed the stat sheet with 15 points, eight rebounds and seven assists. Morgan Clites logged 11 points, four rebounds and four assists. Rachel Gerlach had nine points and seven rebounds. 

Bridgewater-Emery’s Julia Weber finished with 20 points and six assists. Chloe Schmitt added 11 points, seven rebounds and four assists. Casey Meyer had 10 points, while Morgan Uptagrafft added five points.

Crow Creek 56, Winner 42

STEPHAN — Rozee Drapeau and Audrey Drapeau combined for 43 points to power Crow Creek to a girls basketball win over Winner on Monday. 

Rozee Drapeau finished with 24 points, while Audrey Drapeau scored 19 points. Ronessa Sazue scored nine points and Hannah Sazue added six points. 

Winner’s Bella Swedlund tossed in 16 points and Kelsey Sachtjen added nine points. Ellie Brozik and Keelie Kuil scored six points apiece. 


Mobridge-Pollock 65, Potter County 41

MOBRIDGE — Mariah Goehring and Landyn Henderson combined for 29 points to pace Mobridge-Pollock to a girls basketball win over Potter County on Monday. 

Goehring tallied 15 points, five steals and four assists. Henderson added 14 points and six rebounds. Emma Keller finished with seven points, while Heidi Olson and Katy Kemnitz scored six points apiece. 

Potter County’s Tyler Simon finished with 17 points, while Kayden Cronin added 12 points, six rebounds and five steals. 

  

Howard 64, Dell Rapids St. Mary 50

HOWARD — Abby Aslesen and Kate Connor combined for 46 points and 28 rebounds in Howard’s girls basketball win over Dell Rapids St. Mary on Monday. 

Aslesen finished with a game-high 24 points and grabbed 18 rebounds, while Connor added 22 points and 10 boards. Trinity Palmquist had six points and five assists. Jayden Janes added five points. 

DRSM’s Ella Griffin scored 21 points, while Madala Hanson had 12 points and five rebounds. Addyson Gilbert finished with six points and five rebounds. Sydney Klein recorded seven rebounds and four points. 

 

De Smet 63, Clark/Willow Lake 43

CLARK -- Behind Kennadi Buchholz's strong performance, Class B No. 5 De Smet picked up a 20-point win over Clark/Willow Lake on Monday. 

Buchholz finished with 24 points, 16 rebounds, six assists and six blocks.


Ethan 54, Canistota 17

ETHAN — Hannah Bartscher and Ava Lingemann scored 16 points apiece to power Ethan to a girls basketball win over Canistota on Monday. 

Bella Nesheim added seven points, while Marissa Storm scored six points. Ella Pollreisz recorded five points.

Canistota’s Natalie Becker scored seven points.


North Central 56, South Border, N.D. 40

EUREKA — North Central had three players score in double-figures as they pulled away from South Border, N.D. for a girls basketball win on Monday.

Brittney Frickson scored 18 points for the Thunder, while Amree Vander Vorst tallied 16 points. Hope Hoerner added 11 points.


Boys basketball 

Timber Lake 64, Sully Buttes 47

TIMBER LAKE — Hank Kraft and Chazz Gabe combined for 38 points to pace Timber Lake to a boys basketball win over Sully Buttes on Monday.

Kraft tossed in 21 points, while Chazz Gabe added 17 points. Kedrick Martin recorded seven points, while Brandt Ducheneaux and Dixon Booth scored six points apiece. Gracen Hansen scored five points.

For Sully Buttes, Dwight Kinney scored 10 points. Landon Hepker and Wesley Wittler scored eight points apiece, while Thomas Farries finished with seven points. 


Canistota 71, Ethan 62

ETHAN — Canistota held off Ethan for a boys basketball win on Monday. 

Tye Merrill led the Hawks with 20 points, while Brandon Kjetland scored 14 points. Tage Ortman finished with 11 points and Isiah Robertson scored 10 points. Trace Ortman had six points and Brady Scott scored five points. 

Ethan’s Riley Endres finished with 21 points, while Jay Storm and Kody Klumb scored 13 points apiece. Kory Storm scored seven points and Kaden Klumb had six points. 


Estelline/Hendricks 76, Wilmot 45

ESTELLINE — Dawson Bury and Braxton Saathoff combined for 43 points as Estelline/Hendricks raced past Wilmot for a boys basketball win on Monday.

Bury totaled 22 points and three steals, while Saathoff recorded 21 points and six rebounds. Joe McAninch scored nine points, five rebounds, and three steals and Mattix Hausman had six steals and five assists.

For Wilmot, Trey Jurgens scored 24 points and Brayden Ebben added six points.


Harrisburg 78, Sioux City East, Iowa 65

HARRISBURG — Harrisburg picked up a boys basketball win over Sioux City East, Iowa on Monday.

Harrisburg’s Ethan Determan tallied 32 points, while Gavin Aasheim recorded 15 points. Jacoby Mehrman added 12 points.
