Chamberlain 47, Madison 44

CHAMBERLAIN — Chamberlain outlasted Madison for a boys basketball win on Tuesday. 

Collin Two Strike and Etan Balestat led the Cubs with 11 points apiece. Dakota Munger added 10 points, while Sellyck McManus scored nine points. Jeren Herron scored seven points.

Madison’s Aiden Jensen scored 14 points and Trey Smith added 13 points. Aspen Dahl tossed in five points.

Hanson 63, Sanborn Central/Woonsocket 48

ALEXANDRIA — Ethan Cheeseman’s double-double helped Hanson secure a boys basketball win over Sanborn Central/Woonsocket on Tuesday. Hanson coach Josh Oltmanns also recorded his 300th career coaching win. 


Cheeseman finished with 24 points and 13 rebounds, while Jackson Jarding added 11 points. Luke Haiar logged eight points and five assists. 

SCW’s Hayden Beigh and Tryce Slykhuis scored 13 and 10 points, respectively. 


Mount Vernon/Plankinton 73, Wagner 55

WAGNER — Three players scored in double figures to pace Mount Vernon/Plankinton to a boys basketball win over Wagner on Tuesday. 

Jordan Stoltz led the Titans with 23 points, while Reed Rus logged 19 points, 12 rebounds and five steals. Zach Baker added 13 points. 

Wagner’s Dustin Honomichl scored 24 points. 


Winner 64, Todd County 48

MISSION — Blake Volmer’s double-double helped Class A No. 3 Winner earn a boys basketball win over Todd County on Tuesday.

Volmer led the Warriors with 31 points, 11 rebounds and five assists. Slade Cournoyer and Jackson Vesely scored 10 points apiece, while Cournoyer had 10 rebounds and six assists. Elijah Peterson had eight points.

Todd County’s Terrance Eastman finished with 21 points. Ray Crow scored 14 points, while Stephan Guerue added five points. Michael Larvie finished with eight points and four points. 


Castlewood 62, Colman-Egan 35

COLMAN — Castlewood had three players score in double-figures as they raced past Colman-Egan in a boys basketball game on Tuesday.

Bryon Laue scored a game-high 18 points and seven rebounds, while Tristan Nielsen and Joe Decker tallied 10 points apiece. Lane Tvedt and Jackson Schofield added eight points each.

CE was led by Antonio Manzano with nine points and six rebounds, while Sawyer Uhing and Austin Gullickson scored six points apiece.


Flandreau 75, Garretson 46

FLANDREAU — Tash Lunday’s triple-double helped Class A No. 5 Flandreau race past Garretson for a boys basketball win on Tuesday.

Lunday scored 25 points, while adding 11 rebounds and 11 assists to lead the Fliers. Chase LeBrun added 24 points.

Garretson’s Cooper Long recorded 14 points and Clay Lardy added 11 points.


Hamlin 55, Aberdeen Roncalli 23

HAYTI — Hamlin jumped out to a 29-8 halftime lead and defeated Aberdeen Roncalli in boys basketball action on Tuesday. 

Easton Neuendorf led the Chargers with 13 points, while Evan Stormo scored 10 points. Tyson Stevenson logged eight points. Luke Fraser and Rylan Bawdon scored six and five points, respectively. 

Roncalli’s Keegan Stewart scored seven points. 


Wessington Springs 74, Andes Central/Dakota Christian 35

NEW HOLLAND — Mason Schelske poured in 30 points to pace Wessington Springs to a boys basketball win over Andes Central/Dakota Christian on Tuesday. 

Schelske added nine rebounds and four assists. Brock Krueger and Cade Mohling scored 12 points apiece. Blake Larson logged 11 points and six assists. 

ACDC’s Rizon Clark finished with 14 points. Garth Maas added nine points and five rebounds. 


Freeman Academy/Marion 52, Bridgewater-Emery 44

EMERY — Freeman Academy/Marion held off Bridgewater-Emery for a boys basketball win on Tuesday. 

Sutton Arend led the Huskies with 14 points and 15 rebounds. Sam Hofer added 12 points and six rebounds. Camdyn Stoterau had 10 points. 


McCook Central/Montrose 59, Baltic 42

MONTROSE — Three players scored in double figures to lift McCook Central/Montrose to a boys basketball win over Baltic on Tuesday.  

Cody Miles recorded 20 points, four assists and four rebounds. Boston Katzer logged 13 points and five steals, while Owen Alley posted 11 points and eight rebounds. Micah Van Ruler recorded six points and five rebounds. 

Baltic’s Jack Erickson had 11 points and five rebounds. Mark Ditter scored nine points, while Tayden Hansen had five points. 


West Central 62, Vermillion 58

HARTFORD — West Central edged Vermillion in a boys basketball contest on Tuesday.

Dillon Jackson finished with 24 points and six steals, while Grafton Stroup added 13 points. West Central’s Jacob Krempges posted six points and six rebounds. Carter Schmeichel and Braden Dierickx scored seven and six points, respectively. Braden Herr logged six blocked shots. 

Vermillion’s Charlie Ward scored 16 points and Nick Sorensen added 14 points. Jake Jensen tossed in 12 points and T.J. Tracy had 11 points. 


Dell Rapids 62, Elkton-Lake Benton 57

ELKTON — Dell Rapids held off Elkton-Lake Benton for a boys basketball win on Tuesday.

Brayden Pankonen led the Quarriers with 17 points, while Jack Henry tallied 16 points. Landon Ruesink finished with 15 points and Aiden Boechler added seven points.

ELB was led by Miles Harming with 13 points, while Aiden Erickson, Logan Kuehl, and Ryan Krog each chipped in 10 points.


Aberdeen Central 50, Pierre 35

PIERRE — Aberdeen Central pulled away from Pierre for a boys basketball win on Tuesday. 

Noah Behrends led the Golden Eagles with 10 points, while Alec Voegele, Brady Rohrbach and A.J. Hase scored eight points apiece. Sam Rohlfs scored six points and Jackson Dorsett tossed in five points. 

Pierre’s Lincoln Kienholz scored 11 points, while Jackson Edman had nine points. Matthew Hanson scored seven points. 


Centerville 44, Tripp-Delmont/Armour 42

CENTERVILLE — Centerville edged Tripp-Delmont/Armour in a boys basketball game on Tuesday.

Cole Edberg finished with 15 points and 10 rebounds, while Logan Bobzin tallied nine points. Aiden Bobzin scored seven points and Malachi Brouwer added six points and six boards.

For TDA, Carson Koehn scored eight points, while Trey Sparks tallied seven points. Kase Brouwer and Riley Spaans each scored seven points and five rebounds, while Mason Reiner added six points.


Redfield 51, Hitchcock-Tulare 39

TULARE — Three players scored in double-figures as Redfield earned a boys basketball win over Hitchcock-Tulare on Tuesday.

Jerron Haider led with 18 points and six steals, while Peyton Osborn recorded 16 points. Mitchell Mack added 11 points, while Justin Ratigan grabbed 13 rebounds. Nolan Gall dished out six assists.

Hitchcock-Tulare’s TJ Salmen led all scorers with 21 points and 13 rebounds. Erik Salmen finished with seven points.


Florence/Henry 57, Arlington 40

ARLINGTON — Florence/Henry earned a boys basketball win over Arlington on Tuesday.

Mehki Keller scored 19 points, while Ethan Paulson and Peyton Roe tallied nine points each. Andrew Schroeder added seven points.

For Arlington, Ryker Erstad finished with a game-high 21 points.  

 

Deuel 60, Milbank 54

CLEAR LAKE — Deuel broke a 40-40 third quarter tie to edge Milbank in a boys basketball game on Tuesday.

Trey Maaland tossed in 16 points, while Cooper Schiernbeck finished with 15 points. Braydon Simon scored 11 points, and Zane Bingham added eight points and eight rebounds.

The Bulldogs were led by Bennett Schwenn with 26 points, while Kellen Hoeke added nine points.


Britton-Hecla 61, Leola/Frederick Area 44

BRITTON — Three players scored in double-figures as Britton-Hecla raced past Leola/Frederick Area for a boys basketball win on Tuesday.

Aidan Fredrickson finished with 17 points, while Dawson Treeby tallied 11 points and Ty Fagerland scored 10 points. Ashton Mills added eight points.

For the Titans, Ethan Morlock scored 13 points and Mason Hinz added eight points.


Wolsey-Wessington 79, Sunshine Bible Academy 14

WOLSEY — Three players scored in double figures to lead Wolsey-Wessington to a boys basketball win over Sunshine Bible Academy on Tuesday. 

Jemetrius Scott and Payson Gohn scored 15 points apiece. Tate French added 13 points and seven rebounds. Carson Zomer and Blaze Herdman dished out four assists apiece. 


Girls basketball 

Wagner 48, Mt. Vernon/Plankinton 40

WAGNER — Class A No. 1 Wagner held off Mount Vernon/Plankinton for a girls basketball win on Tuesday. 

Emma Yost led Wagner with 17 points, while Shalayne Nagel netted 16 points. 

MVP’s Emilee Fox finished with a game-high 28 points, while Maria Baker scored nine points. 


Parkston 48, Platte-Geddes 41

PARKSTON — Parkston held off Platte-Geddes for a girls basketball win on Tuesday.

Allison Ziebart scored a game-high 17 points and seven rebounds, while Gracie Oakley tallied 15 points, five boards, seven steals, and three assists.

For PG, Karly VanDerWerff scored 10 points and five boards, while Cadence Van Zee recorded nine points and six rebounds. Hadley Hanson added eight points, three rebounds, and four assists.


Hanson 47, Sanborn Central/Woonsocket 39

ALEXANDRIA — Annalyse Weber and Karlie Goergen combined for 26 points to pace Hanson to a girls basketball win over Sanborn Central/Woonsocket. 

Weber finished with 16 points, five assists and five steals. Goergen added 10 points, while Alyssa Moschell posted eight points and six rebounds. 

SCW’s Trista White and Liz Boschee scored 12 points apiece. White added four steals and three assists, while Boschee had four rebounds. Brooke Doering grabbed five rebounds and Teya Moody added four rebounds. 


Andes Central/Dakota Christian 55, Wessington Springs 38

NEW HOLLAND — Josie Brouwer and Lexie VanderPol combined for 36 points to pace Andes Central/Dakota Christian to a girls basketball win over Wessington Springs. 

Brouwer finished with 21 points and four assists. VanderPol added 14 points. Allison Muckey recorded six rebounds and Isabella Brouwer dished out four assists. 

Wessington Springs’ Avery Orth scored 17 points and Kirstie Munsen had 10 points. 

 

De Smet 63, Sioux Valley 55 (OT)

VOLGA — Behind Kennadi Buchholz’s monster double-double, Class B No. 5 De Smet outlasted Sioux Valley in overtime of a girls basketball game on Tuesday.

Buchholz finished with 27 points and 24 rebounds in the win.

Sioux Falls Washington 61, Sioux Falls Lincoln 49

SIOUX FALLS — Class AA No. 2 Sioux Falls Washington had three players score in double-figures as they picked up a girls basketball win over Sioux Falls Lincoln on Tuesday.

Ndjakale Mwenentanda recorded a double-double of 18 points and 12 rebounds, while Alexus Motley and Hannah Harpe each tallied 12 points. Harpe added four assists, and Taylor Thompson added eight points.

For the Patriots, Mariah Siem netted a game-high 22 points and eight rebounds, while Adyson Sand tallied 11 points. Alicen Honner and Kierra Lubovich each added seven points.


Sioux Falls O’Gorman 64, Tea Area 34

SIOUX FALLS — Class AA No. 1 Sioux Falls O’Gorman picked up a 30-point girls basketball win over Tea Area on Tuesday. 

Hannah Ronsiek netted a game-high 24 points, while Mahli Abdouch scored 17 points. 

Tea Area’s Katie Vasecka scored 17 points. 


Centerville 55, Tripp-Delmont/Armour 33

CENTERVILLE — Centerville ran past Tripp-Delmont/Armour for a girls basketball win on Tuesday.

Thea Gust led all scorers with 24 points, while Mikayla Heesch recorded 10 points, four rebounds, four assists, and three steals. Bailey Hansen grabbed 10 boards.

For TDA, Megan Reiner scored 14 points and four steals, while Hannah Stremick added 10 points.


Faulkton Area 60, Northwestern 44

MELLETTE — Faulkton Area used a 23-6 third quarter to race past Northwestern in a girls basketball game on Tuesday.

Isabel Aesoph scored a game-high 23 points, while Ashly Senn tallied nine points. Teralyn Cramer recorded eight points, five rebounds, and three steals.

Northwestern’s Jessica Boekelheide netted 13 points, while Adriana Ratigan tallied 11 points and seven rebounds. Ella Haven added 10 points.


Dell Rapids 60, Elkton-Lake Benton 46

ELKTON — Dell Rapids picked up a girls basketball win over Elkton-Lake Benton on Tuesday.

Alli De Stigter scored 13 points, while Claire Wynja tallied 11 points. Liz Price added eight points.

The Elks were led by Rachael Krog and Aubrey Schindler with nine points apiece, while Kylie Ramlo added eight points. Tevan Erickson grabbed eight rebounds.


Redfield 44, Hitchcock-Tulare 26

TULARE — Redfield earned a girls basketball win over Hitchcock-Tulare on Tuesday.

Ashlyn Clausen scored 10 points while Chelsea Smith and Ellie Evans tallied nine points each. Camryn Rohlfs and Katie Rozell added six points apiece.

For HT, Katelyn Schroeder scored eight points and Madison Hofer added seven points.


Leola/Frederick Area 31, Britton-Hecla 30

BRITTON — Leola/Frederick Area edged Britton-Hecla in a girls basketball game on Tuesday.

Laura Sumption and Sofi Losure each tallied 11 points for the Titans, while Chloe Arneson chipped in eight points.

For the Braves, Jenna Werner scored a game-high 15 points, while Sterling Brassfield added nine points.

 

Milbank 45, Deuel 28

CLEAR LAKE — Milbank used an 18-5 second quarter to pull away from Deuel in a girls basketball game on Tuesday.

Maurina Street tallied 17 points, while Claire Snaza added 10 points.

For Deuel, Harley Hennings scored eight points. Taylor Bauman, Josie Anderson, and Haley Winter each netted six points.


Florence/Henry 55, Arlington 38

ARLINGTON — Caylin Kelly and Taylor Watson combined for 30 points to push Florence/Henry past Arlington in a girls basketball game on Tuesday.

Kelly finished with 20 points, 10 rebounds, four steals, and four assists, while Watson tallied 10 points, five boards, and three assists. Trinity Watson and Carlie Moe each scored eight points.

The Cardinals were led by Ellisyn Vincent with 10 points, while Addalyn Steffensen tallied nine points. Harley Johnson finished with eight points and Hadley Carlson added seven points. 


Aberdeen Central 44, Pierre 28

ABERDEEN — Kiana Mounga’s double-double lifted Aberdeen Central to a girls basketball win over Pierre on Tuesday. 

Mounga led the Golden Eagles with 21 points and 15 rebounds. Kyra Griese logged seven points, while Taryn Hermansen added six points and six rebounds.

Pierre’s Reese Terwillinger finished with eight points and nine rebounds. Lennix DuPris added six points and seven rebounds.  


Mitchell 46, Harrisburg 42

HARRISBURG — Mitchell edged Harrisburg in a girls basketball game on Tuesday.

Sawyer Stoebner scored 21 points and 11 rebounds, while Sarah Sebert recorded 11 points.

For the Tigers, Emilee Boyer tallied 17 points and 10 rebounds, while Abby Flanagan scored 10 points.


Watertown 47, Huron 43

HURON — Watertown edge Huron in a girls basketball game on Tuesday.

Jaida Young scored 12 points, five rebounds, four assists, and three steals, while Kendall Paulson recorded nine points and four rebounds. Maddy Rohde tallied eight points, eight rebounds, three assists, and three steals, and Jade Lund added eight points.

For Huron, Hamtyn Heinz led all scorers with 14 points and four steals, while Isabella Shreeve added 11 points. Isabelle Ellwein, Heaven Gainey, and Reese Rozell each scored five points.
