Rapid City Central 69, Brookings 47

RAPID CITY — Three players scored in double figures to pace Rapid City Central to a boys basketball win on Friday.

Rapid City Central’s Gilbert White Jr., finished with 21 points, five assists and four steals. Preston Yellow added 14 points, four rebounds and three steals. Junior Allen scored 11 points and grabbed three steals. Julius Duran added eight points and three rebounds. Sean Smith scored six points.

For Brookings, Brodie McCarty tallied 17 points, four rebounds and three 3-pointers. Bergan Tetzlaff finished with 16 points and eight boards. 


Flandreau 52, McCook Central-Montrose 42

FLANDREAU — Three players scored in double figures during Flandreau’s boys basketball victory Friday.

Micah Otto led with 16 points for the Fliers, Luke Sheppard added 14 points and 12 rebounds, while Paul Parsley added 12 points, six rebounds and three steals in the win.

MCM”s Jackson Schmidt tallied 14 points while Mason Sabers added 11 points in the loss.


Timber Lake 52, Harding County 46

LEMMON — Timber Lake outlasted Harding County for a boys basketball win at Friday’s Little Moreau Conference tournament. Timber Lake will play Lemmon in the LMC championship game on Saturday.

Timber Lake’s Kanton Hunt recorded 14 points and seven rebounds. Treyden Beer scored 13 points, while Broc Bauer added 10 points. Gavin Farlee had nine points.

For Harding County, Evan Meyer finished with 18 points and Hunter Ginsbach added 10 points. Hayden Pihl posted eight points. Redmond Meyer added five points and eight rebounds.


Lemmon 62, Faith 31

LEMMON — Three players scored in double figures to pace Lemmon to a boys basketball win at the Little Moreau Conference tournament on Friday. Lemmon will play Timber Lake in the LMC championship game on Saturday.  

Lemmon’s Jacob Sonsalla finished with 17 points and six rebounds. Blair Ham added 15 points and six rebounds. Blake Drayton tallied 10 points and six boards. Nathan Penfield posted eight points.

For Faith, Tace Berglund recorded 10 points. Krece Halligan and Cooper Schuelke scored six points apiece. Jayden Selby collected seven rebounds.


Dakota Valley 88, Tri-Valley 56

NORTH SIOUX CITY — Three players scored in double figures to pace Dakota Valley to a boys basketball win on Friday.

DV’s Luke Bruns tallied 26 points, eight rebounds and four assists. Logan Collette added 25 points, five rebounds and five assists. Tatum Sorenson had 11 points and six rebounds. Drew Lukken totaled eight points, seven rebounds and three assists. 

Tri-Valley stats were not reported.


Beresford 78, Canton 38

BERESFORD — Malachi James’ 26-points powered Beresford to a boys basketball victory Friday.

James finished with 26 points, Tiegen Nyhaug added 16 points, while Aiden Hamm recorded 15 points in the win.

Canton’s Alex Rhead had 12 points in the loss.


Stanley County 51, Potter County 48

GETTYSBURG — Stanley County used a 12-5 fourth-quarter margin to pick up a boys basketball win on Friday.

Stanley County’s Kaden Montana tossed in 22 points and Paxton Deal added 12 points. Eddie Duffy scored 10 points.

For Potter County, Landon Larson scored 23 points and Jerand Chase added 12 points. Jhett Simon scored eight points and Jack Simon added five points. 


Ipswich 39, Faulkton 29

IPSWICH — Tucker Kadlec’s 11-point, 20-rebound game powered Ipswich to a high school boys basketball victory Friday.

Kadlec finished with 11 points, 20 rebounds, three blocks and three steals, Kyle Hettich recorded seven points and five rebounds, Max Kulesa tallied seven points and five rebounds, while Hayden Schlosser poured in eight points in the win.

Faulkton Area’s Spencer Melius tallied 11 points, six rebounds and four steals, Korbin Stark added eight points and three steals, while Carter Hall had six points in the loss.


Gayville-Volin 71, Colome 11

COLOME — Spencer Karstens scored his 1,500th career point as Gayville-Volin defeated Colome during Friday’s high school basketball action.

Karstens finished with 20 points for the Raiders, Wyatt Fairley tallied 11 points, Nate Larson added seven points, while Jeremiah Gustad totaled six points in the win.

Colome’s Bode Kingsley tallied six points while Jonah Musser had four points in the loss.
