Douglas 56, Sturgis Brown 45

BOX ELDER — Isaiah Brewer’s 21-point burst lifted Douglas over Sturgis Brown Saturday in high school boys basketball action.

Brewer finished with 21 points, Brock Morgan tallied 17 points, while Connor Wright added seven points in the win.

SB’s Ryan Heinert tallied 15 points in the loss, Hayden Rock had 11 points, while Teigen Wormstadt recorded six points for the Scoopers.


Crow Creek 64, Mitchell Christian 49

MITCHELL — Crow Creek pulled away from Mitchell Christian for a boys basketball win at the Sacred Hoops Classic on Saturday.

Crow Creek’s Walter Gibson finished with 18 points and hit five 3-pointers. K. Braveheart added 15 points. Bryson Drapeau scored 10 points, while Jevjuan Dion had nine points. Justin St. John scored eight points.

For Mitchell Christian, Brady Asbenson scored 13 points. Auston Twiggs and Casey Gromer scored seven points apiece. Baylor Dykstra had five points.


West Central 69, St. Francis 48

MITCHELL — Three players scored in double figures as West Central pulled away from St. Francis for a boys basketball win at Saturday’s Sacred Hoops Classic.

Connor Mebius finished with 17 points, while Kolte Garry added 14 points. Boche Knight scored 10 points. Luke Knight had nine points, while Carter Tetzlaff scored six points. Will Kuhl added five points.

For St. Francis, Josh Gunhammer finished with 15 points and hit three 3-pointers. Kenyon McCloskey scored 12 points and hit three 3-pointers. Mack Wike had 10 points, while Ty Valandra-Fast Horse scored seven points. 


Winner 60, Mahpiya Luta 40

MITCHELL — Shawn Hammerbeck and Carter Craven powered Winner to a boys basketball win Saturday at the Sacred Hoops Classic. 

Hammerbeck and Craven both finished with 21 points apiece. Aiden Schroeder scored nine points and Landon Calhoon had seven points. 

For Mahpiya Luta, Caden Pourier scored seven points and Daniel Weston had six points. Chaylan Palmier added five points. 


Andes Central/Dakota Christian 58, Centerville 56

HURLEY — Three players scored in double figures as Andes Central/Dakota Christian clipped Centerville Saturday at the Midwest Miracles Classic.

Tate Elk Soldier and Ryder Niewenhaus each had 14 points for ACDC, Garth Maas tallied 10 points, while Jamian Medicine Horn and AJ Johnson each had eight points in the win.

Centerville’s Alec Austin tallied 19 points, Miles Eide totaled 17, while Aiden Bobzin recorded 11 points in the loss.


Dell Rapids 63, Freeman 51

HURLEY — Tad Tjaden and Jack Kloth powered Dell Rapids to a boys basketball win at the Midwest Miracles Classic on Saturday.

Tjaden finished with 28 points, seven assists and three rebounds. Kloth added 16 points, eight blocked shots and four rebounds. Lincoln Anderson posted seven points. 

For Freeman, Luke Peters posted 18 points and three rebounds. Tate Sorensen added 14 points and three rebounds. Tayden Kerrigan had nine points. David Walter added eight rebounds, three assists, three steals and two points.


Howard 48, Wynot (Neb.) 40

MADISON — Howard outlasted Wynot (Neb.) on Saturday in high school boys basketball action at Saturday’s America’s Hometown Classic.

Howard’s Carson Hinker scored 18 points and Luke Koepsell finished with 14 points. Austin Severson added nine points. 


Miller 60, Belle Fourche 47

MADISON — Isaak Hunter poured in 24 points as Miller defeated Belle Fourche during Saturday’s America’s Hometown Classic.

Hunter had 24 points, Oliver Fritzsche tallied 13 points, Will Resel totaled 10 points, Gentry Harrell recorded seven, while Derek Brueggeman added six points in the Rustler victory.

BF’s Sern Weishaar had 14 points in the loss, Jet Jensen tallied 13 points, Ian Voyles had seven points, while Gavin Pearson and Isaac Voyles each had five points in the loss.


Vermillion 65, Pine Ridge 45

HURLEY — Three players scored in double figures during Vermillion’s victory over Pine Ridge Saturday at the Midwest Miracles Classic.

Landon Cerny led with 19 points, eight rebounds and two assists, Trey Hansen had 16 points, five rebounds, four steals and three assists, Luke Jensen tallied 15 points and three rebounds, while Carter Hanson had six points, six rebounds, four assists and four blocks in the win.

PR’s Marvin Richard III had 19 points, four rebounds and two assists, Kolbe Steele totaled 15 points and four rebounds, while Anthony Steele had eight points in the loss.


Leola/Frederick Area 81, Potter County 51

HOVEN — Four players scored in double figures to pace Class B No. 5 Leola/Frederick Area to a boys basketball win on Saturday.

LF’s Noah Kippley finished with 20 points and hit three 3-pointers. Ethan Petrich had 12 points. Westyn Thorpe and Winston Clark scored 11 points apiece. Gavin Nickelson had six points, while Milo Sumption, Zander Hoffman and Jace Thorpe scored five points apiece. 

Potter County’s Jhett Simon had 13 points, while Jack Simon added 11 points. Jerand Chase and Landon Larson scored eight points apiece.

 

Rapid City Stevens 48, Rapid City Central 26

RAPID CITY — Three players scored in double figures as Rapid City Stevens defeated cross-town rival Rapid City Central on Saturday.

Stevens’ Dayler Segrist finished with 13 points and eight rebounds. Kaelem Brooks recorded 12 points, while Minkah Hawley had 11 points. Lucas Marcus scored six points.

For Central, Gilbert White and Julius Duran scored nine points apiece. White added six rebounds. Sean Smith scored six points. Weiland Benbo grabbed five rebounds.

 

Viborg-Hurley 60, Elk Point-Jefferson 28

HURLEY — Class B No. 3 Viborg-Hurley rolled past Elk Point-Jefferson at Saturday’s Midwest Miracles Classic. 

Nick Hanson led the Cougars with 22 points, while Brady Schroedermeier had 11 points. Jake Austin added 10 points. Braydyn Morrison scored six points.

For EPJ, Ashton Fairbanks scored eight points and Aidan Hammitt had seven points.


Madison 64, Worthington (Minn.) 59

MADISON — Ben Brooks dropped 35 points in Madison’s victory over Worthington in Saturday’s America’s Hometown Classic.

Brooks finished with 35 points, seven rebounds and three assists, Myles Schneider tallied 11 points, six rebounds, two assists and two steals, Casyn Crabtree recorded nine points and a steal, while Shane Veenhof added four points, five rebounds and five assists in the win.


Rapid City Christian 66, Dickinson Trinity (N.D.) 38

BISMARCK, N.D. — Class A No. 4 Rapid City Christian defeated Dickinson Trinity in boys basketball action at the New Year's Invite.

Benson Kieffer led the Comets with 22 points, while Julius Frog added 12 points and 11 rebounds. Wes Schlabach had 9 points.  


Dakota Valley 63, Lakota Tech 32

NORTH SIOUX CITY — Luke Bruns powered Class A No. 3 Dakota Valley past Lakota Tech in high school boys basketball action Saturday.

Bruns finished with 24 points while Logan Collette tallied 11 points in the win.

LT’s Treyton Sam had 19 points while Julian Tonche totaled seven points in the loss.
