KIMBALL — Zak Wallner struck out 16 batters as the Kimball/White Lake Nationals cruised past the Colome Chaos for a Pony Hills League amateur baseball win on Wednesday.

Wallner took the win for the Nationals, giving up one run on five hits in four innings.

Dylan Konechne led the Nationals with four hits in four at bats, while Dylanger Pierson and Brian Zeman each had three hits in five at bats. Wallner had two hits and two RBI. Zeman had three RBI, while Pierson led with four RBI.

Carter Brickman took the loss for the Colome Chaos, surrendering seven runs on five hits in four innings, while striking out four.

Ethan Vobr led the Chaos with two hits in three at bats.


Castlewood Ravens 5, Clark Traders 3

CASTLEWOOD — The Castlewood Ravens held off the Clark Traders in an Eastern Dakota League amateur baseball game on Wednesday.

Jacob Tisher earned the for the Castlewood Ravens, pitching six innings and allowing three hits and two runs, while striking out nine.

The Ravens recorded nine hits in the game, including Alex Gauer and Zach Hirsch tallying three hits each. Jaydon Cordell drove in two runs.

Brent Griffith took the loss for the Clark Traders, giving up five runs on nine hits in eight innings, while striking out seven.

Gunnar Kvistad and Tyler Brinka each had two hits to lead the Traders.
