Alexandria Post 24 7, Parkston Post 194 6

ALEXANDRIA — Hunter Robinson struck out 10 batters to lift Alexandria to a Legion baseball win over Parkston on Tuesday.

Robinson allowed six hits, six runs (three earned) and walked two batters through 6.2 innings. A.J. Wilber finished with two hits, while Gavin Doyle, Jake Doyle, Kade Waldera and Carter Popp each had a hit. 

Parkston’s Jay Storm had two hits, while Kaleb Weber, Caden Donahue, Logan VanPelt and Jeff Schnabel each had a hit. Ty Neugebauer struck out six batters, allowed six hits, seven runs (two earned) and walked two batters in his 5.1-inning start. 


Hartford 118/Humboldt 62 1, Post 911 Chargers 0

HARTFORD — Braden Herr’s walk-off single lifted Hartford/Humboldt to a Legion baseball win over Post 911 Chargers on Tuesday. 

Bennett Sebert, Gavin Koch and Gage Nelson also had hits in the win. Derek Renken struck out 11 batters, allowed five hits, zero runs and walked one batter through 6.1 innings. 

Post 911’s Harris Adamson finished with two hits, while Aidan Strandberg, Elijah Myers, Caden Reitz and Tim DeSautel each had a hit. Adamson gave up four hits, one earned run, walked two batters and struck out two batters in 6.2 innings. 


Platte-Geddes WhiteCaps 19, Stanley County Post 20 3 (4 innings)

PLATTE — Nine players combined for 12 hits as Platte-Geddes picked up a Legion baseball win over Stanley County on Tuesday. 

Carter Lenz, Jaxon Christensen and Aiden Bultje had two hits apiece. Lenz, Christensen, Joey Foxley, Tanner Dyk and Caden Oberbroekling each drove in two runs. Grayson Hanson, Oakley Kott and Jackson Neuman each added hits. Lenz earned the win after allowing four hits, two runs (one earned), struck out two batters and walked one in three innings. 

Stanley County’s Sam Hand had three of the team’s five hits. Josh Switzer took the loss after allowing six hits, 11 runs (eight earned) and walked four batters in one inning. 


Groton Post 39 10, Sisseton Post 50 0 

GROTON — Groton used a pair of four-run innings to help secure a Legion baseball win over Sisseton on Tuesday. 

Bradin Althoff led Groton with three hits, while Pierce Kettering had two hits and an RBI. Jackson Cogley, Dillon Abeln, Cade Larson, Douglas Heminger and Andrew Marzahn each had a hit. Marzahn drove in two runs. Kettering earned the win after striking out five batters, allowing five hits, zero runs and walked three batters through six innings. 


Elk Point-Jefferson Post 134 5, Vermillion Post 1 2 

ELK POINT — Elk Point-Jefferson used a three-run third inning to secure a Legion baseball win over Vermillion on Tuesday. 

Christian Mueller led EPJ with two hits and drove in a run. Ty Trometer, Jordan Anderson and Kayden Moore each had a hit. Moore drove in two runs. Noah Larson got the win. He allowed five hits, two runs, walked two batters and struck out three batters in the complete-game performance. 

Vermillion’s Willis Robertson had a team-high two hits, while Connor Saunders, Jack Kratz and Jake Jensen each had a hit. Tim Dixon allowed five hits, five runs (three earned), walked three batters and struck out two batters in his six-inning start. 


Brookings Post 74 8, Marshall, Minn., 1

BROOKINGS — Brookings Post 74 picked up a Legion baseball win over Marshall, Minnesota, on Tuesday. 

Josh Devine led Brookings with two hits and two RBIs. Breck Hirrschoff and Justin Cofell each drove in two runs, while Nathan Lease and Payton Theodosopolus each had hits. 

Zach Struck struck out three batters, allowed four hits, one earned run and walked two batters in his complete-game performance. 


Post 22 Hardhats 8, Yankton Post 12 3

RAPID CITY — The Post 22 Hardhats pulled away from Yankton Post 12 for a Legion baseball win on Tuesday.

Palmer Jacobs took the win for the Post 22 Hardhats, pitching 6 ⅔ innings and allowing three runs on five hits and striking out two.

Wilson Kieffer led the Post 22 Hardhats with three hits, while Alex Dietrich added two hits. Kieffer and Mars Sailer each drove in two runs. 

Joe Gokie took the loss for Yankton Post 12, allowing five hits and six runs, while striking out two in four innings.

Samuel Kampshoff led Yankton Post 12 with two hits in three at bats. Kampshoff and Dylan Prouty each drove in one run.

The Post 22 Hardhats also won Game 2, 6-3.


Huron Post 7 10, Post 15 3

SIOUX FALLS — Huron Post 7 scored six runs in the first inning and never looked back in a Legion baseball win over Post 15 on Tuesday.

Mason Davis picked up the win for Huron Post 7, allowing six hits and three runs in five innings, while striking out four and walking one.

Trace Wenz led Huron Post 7 with three hits in four at bats, while Tyson Lien and Johnny Hernandez each tallied two hits. Wenz and Lien each drove in two runs.

Noah Willis took the loss for Post 15, allowing four hits and six runs in one inning, while striking out one.

Mitch Peters led Post 15 with three hits, while Brody Bohnet added two hits and two RBI.


Sioux Falls Post 15 West 3, Renner Royals Post 307 0

RENNER — Sioux Falls Post 15 West scored three runs in the first inning to defeat the Renner Royals in a Legion baseball game on Tuesday.

Kyler Miritello earned the win on the mound for Post 15 West, allowing one hit and zero runs in five innings, while striking out nine.

Jaxon DeHaan, Isaac Adam, Dexter Payne, Brayden Byrum, and Treyson Harty-Olsen each had one hit for Sioux Falls Post 15 West. Harty-Olsen had two RBI, while DeHaan added one RBI.

Trey Heckenlaible took the loss for the Royals, allowing five hits and three runs, while striking out four in six innings.

Carter Peterson had one hit to lead the Royals.
