June 7 State AA Softball Roundup - Harrisburg coasts to third-place finish over Lincoln

Harrisburg 15, Lincoln 1 (5 innings) 

SIOUX FALLS — Kennedy Kokenge and Maleia Knutson both hammered home runs as Harrisburg rolled past Lincoln for third place at the Class AA softball tournament. 

The Tigers piled up 16 hits, with Madelyn Ducheneaux and Peyton LaFramboise both recorded four hits apiece. Kylie Visker struck out two batters, allowed three hits and one earned run in five innings. 

For Lincoln, Paxton Dekkers finished 2-for-2. Kierra Lubovich struck out three batters, allowed 11 hits, 10 earned runs and walked one batter in 3.1 innings. 


Rapid City Stevens 7, Brandon Valley 6 (9 innings) 

SIOUX FALLS — Rapid City Stevens clipped Brandon Valley in extra innings for the consolation championship at the Class AA softball tournament. 

Stevens was led by Addie Hock’s three hits. Lainey Van Zee, Allison Larson-Dike and Josie Thompson had two hits apiece. Van Zee struck out nine batters, 

Brandon Valley’s Macy Lembcke struck out seven batters, allowed 11 hits, four earned runs and walked one batter. Lembcke added two RBIs. Danielle Schoby drove in two runs. 


Roosevelt 14, O’Gorman 4 (5 innings) 

SIOUX FALLS — Sioux Falls Roosevelt recorded 15 hits en route to a five-inning win over O’Gorman at the Class AA softball tournament on Saturday.

Rylinne DeVries finished with three hits and drove in a run. Vanessa Kiggins had three hits and drove in three runs. Kaylie Drew added two hits and two RBIs. Desiree Hinsch struck out nine batters, allowed five hits, two earned runs and walked one batter. 

For O’Gorman, Ryann Winterboer had two hits and drove in three runs. Sonia Deckert had two hits. Kenzie Koenig struck out two batters, allowed eight hits, three earned runs and one walk in 2.1 innings.
