Brandon Valley Post 131 7, Mitchell Post 18 3

MITCHELL — Brandon Valley Post 131 scored five runs in the seventh inning to come from behind and defeat Mitchell Post 18 in a Legion baseball game on Wednesday.

Trey Sejnoha took the win for Brandon Valley Post 131, allowing one hit and zero runs in three innings, while striking out seven and walking one. Daniel Butyen started the game for Post 131, pitching 2 ⅔ innings and allowing two hits and three runs, while striking out two.

Ayden Spicer led Post 131 with two hits in three at bats. Spicer also had two RBI’s, while Matt Brown led with four RBI’s.

Jace Larson took the loss for Mitchell, allowing five hits and six runs in 6 ⅓ innings, while striking out two.

Dylan Soulek and Peyton Mandel each had two hits to lead Post 18.


Brandon Valley Post 131 9, Mitchell Post 18 3

MITCHELL — Brandon Valley Post 131 picked up a win in game 2 against Mitchell Post 18 in a Legion baseball game on Wednesday.

Aiden Zerr took the win for Post 131, pitching two innings and allowing two hits and one run while striking out one and walking one. Nick Hokenstad started the game for Post 131, allowing two hits and one run in 2 ⅓ innings, while striking out one.

Austin Reiter led Post 131 with two hits in three at bats, while Daniel Butyen drove in three runs.

Jonah Schmidt took the loss for Post 18, giving up four runs on five hits in 4 ⅔ innings, while striking out seven.

Jake Helleloid led Post 18 with two hits in four at bats, while also driving in two runs.


Gregory County 13, Winner/Colome 4

WINNER — Gregory County used a nine run third inning to power past Winner/Colome in a Legion baseball game on Wednesday.

Bryce Frank took the win for Gregory County, pitching five innings and allowing seven hits and two runs while striking out four.

Trey Murray and Gannon Thomas each tallied three hits to lead Gregory County, which totaled 13 hits as a team. Bryce Frank added two hits, while Murray also drove in three runs. Brogan Glover and Owen Duffy each drove in two runs.

Charley Pravecek took the loss for Winner/Colome, allowing six hits and ten runs in 2 ⅔ innings, while striking out six.

Aiden Barfuss led Winner/Colome with three hits in four at bats, while Pravecek and Slade Cournoyer tallied two hits each. Pravecek also drove in two runs.


Smittys 6, Jamestown 5

ABERDEEN — A walk-off single in the eleventh inning gave Smittys a Legion baseball win over Jamestown on Wednesday.

Jaiden Smith took the win for Smittys, going four innings and allowing zero runs on zero hits and striking out three. Brian Holmstrom started the game for Smittys, allowing seven hits and three runs in five innings and striking out two.

Nick Clemens led Smittys with three hits in five at bats and two RBI’s, while Drew Salfrank had two hits.

Gage Orr took the loss for Jamestown, giving up one run on five hits in three innings and striking out two. Kasen Rowell started the game for Jamestown, pitching three innings and allowing two hits and three runs while striking out three.

Rowell, Jackson Walters, and Ethan Gall each collected two hits, while Rowell drove in three runs.
