HOWARD — The Howard golf teams captured Cornbelt Conference titles on Wednesday.

Playing at the Howard Golf Course, the Tiger boys shot a 224 to finish ahead of second-place Hanson (228). Howard, which shot a 254, was the lone team to score in the girl standings. 

Individually, Howard’s Lane Hodges shot a 69 to earn the boys individual medalist honors. Hodges’ round was highlighted by a 32 on the back nine. 

Hanson’s A.J. Wilber (74) and Ben Wilber (76) finished second and third, respectively. A.J. Wilber’s round included a 34 on the back nine. 

Zach Jacobson bolstered Howard’s team score with a 77 and a fourth-place finish. Hanson’s Keenan Waldera (78) and Howard’s Luke Koepsell (78) tied for fifth place. 

Howard’s Trinity Palmquist (82) was the girls individual medalist. Palmquist shot 41s on the front and back nines. Howard’s Piper Thomspon (84) and Mia Glanzer (88) placed second and third, respectively. Bridgewater-Emery’s Shania Longe (99) and Freeman’s Lily Wipf (110) rounded out the top-five golfers.
