Lennox's Porter Ihnen commits to the University of South Dakota

Lennox’s Porter Ihnen has committed to play for the University of South Dakota men’s basketball team. Ihnen tweeted his intentions to join the Coyotes on Wednesday, June 21. 

A 6-foot-6 guard, Ihnen is a two-time all-stater for the Orioles. He was a first-team selection last season as a junior, averaging 21.6 points, seven rebounds and four assists per game. He logged 19.2 points, 9.6 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game as a sophomore. 


Ihnen has scored more than 1,000 career points for the Orioles, while he was a Class 11A all-state football player last fall. The wide receiver posted 49 catches for 764 yards and 13 touchdown receptions. 

Ihnen was also offered by South Dakota State University men's basketball team.
