Letcher’s Mason Moody scores second-best bull ride of Round 9 at National Finals Rodeo

LAS VEGAS — Letcher’s Mason Moody continued to shine at the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo.

The first-year NFR participant earned his second consecutive qualified ride on Friday, scoring an 84.75 for the second-best score of Round 9. Moody pocketed $32,824 for the ride.

Moody is currently No. 7 in the average, with a 346 on four covered bulls. 

Oelrichs barrel racer Lisa Lockhart had the third-best time in Round 9, clocking in at 13.54 seconds to earn $21,882. Lockhart is currently No. 9 in the average (142.98 seconds). 

Sturgis team roper Levi Lord and his partner Dustin Egusquiza are currently No. 10 in the average (39.2 seconds).

The final round of the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo is tonight at the Thomas & Mack Center.
