Lyman’s Skyler Volmer is the 2024 Western Great Plains Conference girls basketball MVP.

The senior guard was joined on the WGPC all-conference first team by Wall’s Paige Kjerstad and Nora Dinger, Kadoka Area’s Bella Williams and White River’s Maleena Brave.

Lyman’s Mak Scott, Wall’s Rhea Tucker, Kadoka Area’s Shaylee Porch, Philip’s Drew Terkildsen and White River’s Kam Krogman were second-team honorees. 

New Underwood’s Jocelyn Fulton, Kadoka Area’s Breezy Amiotte, Lyman’s Jordyn Scott and Brooke Palmer, Jones County’s Sophie Dowling, Philip’s Josie Jones, Bennett County’s Amia Cottier and White River’s Chaela O’Leary were third-team selections. 

Wall’s John Hess was named conference coach of the year.
