For the past month the Winner Area wrestling team had been dealing with some injuries to several of their big guns. Class B No. 1 182-pounder Jack Kruger missed several weeks with an injury. For the past month the Warriors have been wrestling without defending state champion and Class B No. 1 120-pounder Maxton Brozik. 

Brozik made his return to the Winner Area lineup at Saturday’s Huron Invitational, winning his weight class and helping the Warriors to a second-place finish, two points behind Aberdeen Central. After being left out of the rankings last week Brozik jumps back into the No. 1 ranking in the 120-pound weight class and also into the No. 4 slot in this week’s Dynamite Dozen. 

Canton leads the final Class B wrestling poll with a projected 174 points, ahead of Winner Area (118) and Philip/Kadoka Area/Wall Badlands Brawlers (104). Kimball/White Lake/Platte-Geddes (95) and McCook Central/Montrose (93) round out the top five ranked Class B wrestling teams.
