West Central 12, Sioux Falls Christian 7

TEA — West Central punched its ticket to the Class B high school baseball tournament with a Region 3B win over Sioux Falls Christian on Tuesday.

Brodie Herr picked up the win for West Central, pitching two innings, allowing one hit and three runs and striking out four. Grafton Stroup pitched three innings in relief.

West Central totaled 15 hits, with Ben Sebert leading the way with three hits in three at bats. Deuce Sherrard, Logan Maras, Gavin Koch, Camden McDonald, and Jack Linneman had two hits apiece.

Tate Snyder took the loss for the Chargers, going four innings, allowing 10 runs on 12 hits and striking out four.

Harris Adamson, Cole Snyder, Tate Snyder, Jacob Sanderson, and Elijah Myers each had one hit, while Myers had two RBI’s and Cole Snyder had three RBI’s. 

Sioux Falls Christian 6, Tea Area 3

TEA — Sioux Falls Christian picked up a Region 3B high school baseball win over Tea Area on Tuesday.

Caden Reitz took the win for the Chargers, pitching seven innings, allowing ten hits and three runs, striking out three and walking one. Sioux Falls Christian had eight hits, including Reitz, Jacob Docter, and Jacob Sanderson each having two hits. Docter also had one home run.

Tea Area’s Clayton Schwebach took the loss while pitching five innings, allowing eight hits, six runs, and striking out three. Teagan Dedula pitched two innings of relief.

The Titans racked up ten hits, with Schwebach, Logan Boom, Nathan Babb, Klayton Sattler, and Ethan Vis each collecting two hits. 

Sioux Falls Christian advanced to the Region 3B finals to face West Central.

West Central 4, Baltic 0

TEA — West Central held Baltic scoreless to pick up a Region 3B high school baseball win on Tuesday.

Andrew Zimmer took the victory for West Central, giving up zero runs on three hits and striking out six in six innings. Grafton Stroup threw one inning in relief. West Central recorded eight hits, with Deuce Sherrard leading the way with three hits in four at bats. Logan Maras had two hits in three at bats. 

Andrew Vandam took the loss for Baltic, giving up four runs on eight hits over six innings, striking out nine and walking one.

West Central advanced to the Region 3B finals to play Sioux Falls Christian.

Dell Rapids 6, Lennox 3

DELL RAPIDS — Dell Rapids broke a 3-3 tie in the fifth inning to defeat Lennox in a Region 3B high school baseball game on Tuesday and advance to the Class B state tournament.

Jack Henry picked up the win, allowing two hits and three runs while striking out seven batters in six innings. Brayden Pankonen pitched one inning in relief. 

Pankonen, Treyse Eastman, Dylan Mathis, and Will Jaton each tallied one hit for Dell Rapids.

Isaac Bambas took the loss for Lennox, giving up three runs on three hits and striking out one in four innings. Bambas also led Lennox with two hits in four at bats.
