MILLER — Miller’s Isaak Hunter captured both boys hurdle races at Tuesday’s Miller Invitational track and field meet. 

Hunter won the 110-meter hurdles (:14.99) and 300-meter hurdles (:42.87). Miller’s Pierce Baumberger won the 3,200-meter run (10:59.79). 

James Valley Christian’s Isaac Wipf won the 100-meter dash (:11.70) and placed second in the long jump (19-3). 

Frederick Area’s Gavin Nickelson won the 200-meter dash (:23.77). Hunter Kern, Nickelson, Brayden Heuer and Noah Kippley won the 400-meter relay (:45.82). Kippley, Howard Sumption, Titus Kippley and Nickelson won the 3,200-meter relay (8:48.55). 

Noah Kippley won the triple jump (38-8). 

Wolsey-Wessington’s Colin Hughes won the discus (135-4) and placed third in the shot put (41-0.5). 

Cheyenne-Eagle Butte’s Jayden Taken Alive won the 400-meter dash (:53.26). Stanley County’s Spencer Sargent won the 800-meter run (2:07.51).

James Valley Christian’s Kaden Ober won the 1,600-meter run (4:58.44) 

Redfield’s Jackson Sandoz, Nicholas Becker, Payton Moore and Jacob Buranen won the 800-meter relay (1:38.28). 

Sunshine Bible Academy’s Owan Watson, Jensen Wipf, Jimmy Burma and Jacob Hadden won the 1,600-meter relay (3:41.11). 

Northwestern’s Will Clemens, Brecken Halvorson, Josh Thorson and Ty Boekelheide won the sprint medley relay in 3:52.41. 

Sully Buttes’ Kadyn Westergren won the shot put (44-2). James Valley Christian’s Tayne Hermann won the javelin (128-0). 

Lyman’s Dawsen Volmer cleared 6-1 to win the high jump. Stanley County’s Paxton Deal won the long jump with a mark of 20-10.5. 

In girls action, Lyman’s Brooke Montgomery won the 100-meter dash (:12.72), 200-meter dash (:26.28) and had a third-place finish in the long jump (14-4). Lyman’s Bree Smart won the 300-meter hurdles (:53.08). 

Wolsey-Wessington’s Daytona Finch, Tatum Luce, Danika Peterson and Riyli Peterson won the 400-meter relay (:54.57). Uttecht, Abby Huntsinger, Danika Peterson and Riyli Peterson won the 800-meter relay (1:50.59). 

Luce won the high jump with a mark of 5-1 and added a second-place finish in the long jump (14-11). Samara Clemente won the triple jump (33-1) for the Warbirds. 

Wolsey-Wessington’s Kendal Uttecht won the 800-meter run (2:21.12). 

Highmore-Harrold’s Whitley Baloun won the 400-meter dash (1:02.80) and 100-meter hurdles (:18.47). Highmore-Harrold’s Autumn Fallis won the 1,600-meter run (5:32.42) 

Miller’s Faith Baumberger won the shot put (34-4). Miller’s Aleah Schlechter won the javelin (96-9.5). Miller’s Paige Werdel won the long jump (15-4). 

Sully Buttes’ Payge Bakker won the discus (104-1). 

Northwestern’s Ella Boekelheide won the 3,200-meter run in 11:39.39, currently the best time in Class B.   

Northwestern’s Sophia Troske, Tara Blachford, Rachel Melius and Brenna Halvorson won the 3,200-meter relay (11:07.61). 

Sunshine Bible Academy’s Tessa Hinman, Ciera Mickelson, Dakota Boersma and Abby Hinman won the 1,600-meter relay (4:18.64). The same quartet won the sprint medley relay (4:41.72).
