For South Dakota wrestling fans some big changes are coming to the weight classes next year. The first six weight classes (106, 113, 120, 126, 132, 138) will all remain the same. For the 2023-24 season the next seven weight classes will be 144, 150, 157, 165, 175, 190 and 215. The 285 weight class will remain the same. 

Dakota Grappler released their 2023-24 rankings this week and they have the Pierre Governors winning the Class A wrestling title next February. The Governors are projected to score 163 points ahead of Sturgis (156) and Brandon Valley (140). Aberdeen Central (134) and Watertown (121) are expected to round out the top-five teams.
