Nov. 1 All-Nations Football Conference Roundup - Lower Brule shuts out Crazy Horse, advances to Class 9B title game

LOWER BRULE — Nate Middletent powered Lower Brule to an All-Nations Football Conference Class 9B semifinal victory on Friday.

Middletent scored five rushing touchdowns and added an interception for a score. Kristian Antelope returned the opening kickoff for a touchdown. Isaiah Felicia had a rushing touchdown. Eden Thigh threw a 58-yard touchdown pass to Elliot LaRoche. 

Lower Brule will play White River in the Class 9B championship game on Nov. 8 at the DakotaDome in Vermillion. 


Pine Ridge 46, Mahpiya Luta 22 

PINE RIDGE — Pine Ridge scored 32 unanswered points for a Class 9A All-Nations Football Conference semifinal victory on Friday. 

Trailing 22-14, the Thorpes scored the game’s final 32 points to earn a spot in the Class 9A All-Nations Football Conference championship. 

Pine Ridge’s Marvin Richard III recorded three passing touchdowns, including two to Anthony Steele. Richard III also scored a rushing touchdown and hit Domonic Ghost Bear for a passing touchdown. 

Steele added a passing touchdown to Ghost Bear. Delbert Peters scored a rushing touchdown for the Thorpes. Ghost Bear had two interceptions on defense, while Peters and Michael Kelly both had interceptions.  

For Mahpiya Luta, Josh Anderson threw passing touchdowns to Baylee Little and Christian Jack. Anderson added a rushing touchdown and an interception on defense. 

Pine Ridge will play Winnebago, Nebraska, in the Class 9A championship on Nov. 8 at the DakotaDome in Vermillion. 


White River 36, Omaha Nation (Neb.) 0 

MACY, Neb. — In its first season in the All-Nations Football Conference, White River is headed to the Class 9B championship game.

The Tigers avenged an regular season loss to Omaha Nation on Friday, blanking the Chiefs for a spot in the Class 9B championship game on Nov. 8 at the DakotaDome in Vermillion.

White River’s Cooper Baxter rushed for a touchdown and also threw a passing touchdown. Teagen Bouman and Riley Bouman added touchdowns for the Tigers. Liam White Hat had an interception on defense.

White River will play Lower Brule in the Class 9B championship game. 


Winnebago (Neb.) 34, Little Wound 20

WINNEBAGO, Neb. — Winnebago held off Little Wound in All-Nations Football Conference Class 9A playoff action on Friday. 

The Chiefs will play Pine Ridge in the Class 9A championship game on Nov. 8 at the DakotaDome in Vermillion.
