PINEHURST, N.C. — Sioux Falls O’Gorman’s Will Hurd finished tied for 93rd place at the 2022 Boys High School Golf National Invitational.

Hurd finished with a three-round total of 234 at the prestigious invitational featuring top high school golfers across the country. Hurd shot an 18-over-par 234, finishing as South Dakota’s best finisher at the event. 

The invitational is a 3-day, 54-hole stroke play event including team and individual competition. Competition rounds will take place on Pinehurst Resort No. 5, No. 6, and No. 7 courses.

Sioux Falls O’Gorman’s Radley Mauney (240, T-137), Sioux Falls O’Gorman’s William Sanford (240, T-137), Sioux Falls O’Gorman’s Mac Drake (242, T-155), Sioux Falls O’Gorman’s Jacob Stewart (244, T-167), Tea Area’s Keeton Newborg (249, T-190), Tea Area’s Derek Anderson (250, T-196), Tea Area’s Eric Munson (251, T-201), Sioux Falls O’Gorman’s Taten Mauney (251, T-201), Sioux Falls O’Gorman’s Liam Sarmiento (258, T-235) and Tea Area’s Brady Sabers (287, T-302) rounded out the South Dakota golfers.
